List of bans...

Here's a list of meaningless bans (I let it die down... Now, I'll bring it up to support Hazard and psyks and Infect and Bondo, even if it means mine is extended)

I can't say I know typhy's ban well... So I can't say that was meaningless

I was banned to make an example to the B&G peeps.. I was promised I would be allowed back on after it died down... It was quiet for over 3 weeks... Still banned.

Bondo got banned recently for a week... Can anyone actually tell me why?! Bondo just told me... He asked Evill why Hazard was banned... He wasn't cussing or anything... He even defended Hazard in a non-agressive way. (just saying what he told me) He was banned.

Infect was impersonating, got banned for 30 minutes... He went to sleep tried to logon the next day and was banned for a week

Psyks, Infect's brother, was banned... As punishment for being Infects brother

Hazard was banned because he is Infect's neighbor... Evill mistakenned him for Infect...

Does anyone else see a problem with at least Psyks and Hazard being banned?

Well, In PC world I  have talked to the creators, developers, and the people that run Gamespy Arcade and I have never seen them talk in an unprofessional manner to a gamer. I am just gonna try to make Evill's life miserable. Emailing him everyday concerning my ban.

I think that everyone agrees that evill has banned people for no reason and that we should do something about it he has gone to far even saying foul language I say the gamers on gameranger fight back and stop these useless bans. Plus some of us dont even no why we were banned.

Well we could try to get some .gae! people together and thought of something. Maybe possibly giving up GR for a month or so and using the macclans chat to exchange ips. It would mean sacrifice and it might not even work but if we could get something organized we could possibly do something.

Gamespy for PC isn't really that reliable. Its not that good and there are still bans but they are rare the only thing that is done often is muteing, and my pc dosen't have the internet anymore and I deleted my GSA. I doubt they would even do it anyway.

Hazard I think your right if we could get something going then evill couldnt start banning because he already has a large amount of ppl complaining. If we can get a lot of people to stand up to evill he wont do shit. sure he might ban a few but if there are so many people protesting then he will either drop the bans or try to ignore us but we have to do something.

Conflict won't solve anything. We are better off avoiding him, people are too afraid to be banned to do anything.

To clarify on my ban all I said were the following phrases...

"Evill, wtf...so you are now banning people for asking you to check your e-mail?"
"Hazard didn't break any rules"
"He didn't impersonate, he didn't spam, he didn't do anything"
And then in response when someone said "you'd shut your mouth if you knew what was good for you"
I said "Or what, I'll be banned?"
And then Evill said "you are pushing it" and then he banned me for 6 days.? This is all the dialog I had...I'm not leaving anything out...this is all I said...and I was banned.? Even the most ardent Evill sympathizer can't stand up for his decision there...I was well mannered and just asked a simple question and provided my defense...yet I got a SIX day ban.

By putting ".gae!" after your names only makes you look retarded and it doesn't prove anything.

The only way you could get aynthing to work is if you got a large population of GR users to conduct in the same manner as you and leave GR, but of course that will not happen. You have a better chance of shutting your flaps and ignoring Evill than trying to pick a bone with him because unless you can do what I said above successfully, you will FAIL miserably like Bondo's CU defense trying to stop the USC offense.

Well I was talking to Evill a little while after Bondo's ban, and I had asked him why Bondo was banned. He told me (I forget his exact words) that Bondo thought he was on some sort of GameRanger committee. Apparently what Evill is most sick of is the people fighting back. Back in the day, people get banned for a half hour, no one cared, it died down, all was set and done. People got banned for a week, it was "I messed up, so I guess I'll see you all in a week." People got banned for life, it was "Yah I called Evill's mom a whore in a dumpster and I wanted to get banned."

Don't you guys see? Every time you get banned and post it on this forum, asking for help from everyone, it only gives Evill more incentive to fight back against the rebellion. And he knows it's so easy for him, and so hard for all of us. Try to brush off bans. If you get banned, USUALLY you did something wrong. If you didn't, just relax. You'll be back before you know it ? IF YOU SHUT UP ABOUT IT!!! If you get perma'd for nothing, then you're probably just thick headed, because Evill doesn't perma ban people for nothing. He needs people using his product. When more people use his product, more companies want to advertise on his product. The more companies that advertise on Evill's product, the more money Evill gets. So you see, the last thing Evill wants to do is just toss people out of GameRanger, though when the rules are being broken in any way, it's a good exchange for Evill to sacrifice one person if it means keeping 10 others happy and continuing their use of his product.

So you see, the sooner we all stop complaining about bans, the sooner the bans will lessen.

I partially agree with Ace that is why I try to stay a lot more shut up and I let the rest of you extremely complain because Evill told me it does no good.  I'm not going to make big threads about this anymore, it seems every time I get all of us banned 5 threads are made about it.  We can be angry, I know I am, but I try to shut up a little more now, maybe Kevill will have a little more respect for us then.  A recent example of this would be the problems with the IRSL battle with ICT, I didn't post or complain, I didn't want to post at all, I went as far as I was pushed, all I did was edit a post to add myh reply, just try to calm down a little guys with making all of these threads.

Where did Ace post? I am curious to see his reaction to this bs. As for just shutting up...that wont do you much good since you have already put .gae behind your name. I am sure in Kevill's eyes that means you follow the group and essentially agree with the others who carry that tag at the end of their names. Putting .gae is your own form of protest, whether you intend it to be or not.

Thing is, I had shut up and not said anything for a few weeks.  Then I ask why Hazard was banned and I suddenly find myself banned.  Shuting up doesn't help, Evill is an unforgiving ass...he holds grudges and won't ever forget.  He also can't stand to be told that he is wrong and so he bans for that.

Assassin pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. GR is a FREE service Evill provides to all of us. He could permaban me for no reason whatsoever and I would have no room to complain. Would it be a dick move? Yes. Is it still 100% within his rights? Yes. I know if I were in Evill's situation I would have a quick trigger finger. Look at the amount of idiocy he must put up with daily. I forget who said it, but I think the best quote ever with regards to GR was, "If idiots could fly, GR would be an airport." So what if you can't play on GR for a week? Big freakin deal. If it is really such an important issue to you, do something about it already! Like Assassin said, the minute you log back into GR you are admitting that Evill provides such a good service that you are willing to put up with perceived injustices. So the way I see it, there are a few options. You can behave like the majority of us do and NEVER have any problems with bans, you can give up GR cold turkey and have your "freedom," or you can act immature and whine about it. If you choose the last option, it is a waste of time to even be talking to you.

I'm Ace. What should you do? Frankly, I don't believe this situation would ever occur; I was using it hypothetically. If it were to occur, you would have to find an alternative. Ultimately GR is a service Evill provides and he can provide it to whomever he wishes.

BTW, I'm sure in the ToS you agreed that Evill can stop allowing you on GR anytime he wishes. So if you have logged onto GR, you have given up all rights regarding bans basically.
