You mean there is a game that is worse than RS? ?I didn't think that was possible.  It looks like Aspyr is doing the port which is awesome news because they don't suck like MacPlay.  Also, what do you think the chances that the new Counterstrike game will actually make it to Mac.  Sierra fucked Mac gamers up the ass by not releasing either HL or CS originally, maybe all can finally be forgiven.  After all, they claim CS is the single most popular online game, wouldn't it make sense to open it up to even more gamers?

Keep those fingers crossed Bondo, maybe some day CS will make its way through here... I've played the game several times with buddies from school, and by my own experience I can definitely say it's the best tactical-shooter ever...

Anyhow, any specific requirements for Ghost Recon? I sure hope the ol' computer can cope...

Goku - Ihave GR from the release date and it not getting old - its much better the RS ( RS is getting old for sure )
GR has great grafics, great tactical options and nooo lag - i can play it on my 56k Modem without any delay. It has biiig maps : woods, cities, castle and so on over any map over 15.000 square miles. SO dont say GR worse then RS ( RS is a pieace of shit in comparison to GR )

15.000 square mile maps? Oh dear... and you telling me they don't lag?

You were right about one thing though... graphics are a lot better, that's for sure.

Anyhow, I'd like to return to my earlier and still not answered to question, namely : are there any specific requirements for Ghost Recon? Is a fast computer required? Any specific graphics card? RAM maybe?

Keep in touch,
-Beef.

Beef the maps really dont lag!! The greatness of the maps is no factor for LAG caused by netcode. The Netcode of GR has been modified for 24k modems for best performans. AND i have much less lag with my 56k and playing GR then playing anyother game on NET for Exaple : RS, R6, Mohaa or RtCW.
Esp. RtCW is really horrible with 56k timeout are longer then the game play, thats the reason why i dont play it on the net.
GR is one of the best shooters ever made.

I am sorry guys, but I must say, Ghost Recon owns RS. There is by far more strategy involved, less camping, and less lag. If it does come to the mac, I will be happy to play against you guys.

As for beefy/weasel: A fast machine is not required, but a decent graphics card is. Also, CS blows ass compared to Ghost Recon.

Well, still not a reason not to get CS on the Mac.  Also, how similar is CS to the UT mod Strike Force, watching some footage of it, SF was the first thing that came to mind.

Well, I've played GR on the XBOX at E3 and it was pretty tight. ?And if the fps are consistent the way they were on the XBOX, that's just gonna make this game another all time great game for the mac Wink
?Raven-Shield still is one of my favorite new Tom Clancy games Cool

Well, im glad to hear it's coming to the mac, AND don't pirate this game, we need to show our support, especally this time...

And I'm sure your all thrilled to know that in 2 days Myst will be back on GR...atleast I am.

Anyone know when GhostRecon is coming?

Yours truely,

GhostRecon is not as good as RogueSpear. The missions have no point, at all. And the story line, wait, what story line?

Ass, no camping you say. wtf am i to do when i'm all drunk?Huh
And myst, i won't deny that i've "borrowed" some games, but the games i do pay for are the best Ut, q3, RS, moh, wolf.
I'm sure this will be a great game, so i'll preorder it, esecialy if aspyer does it. cause macplay can suck a bowling ball through a garden hose.

At least we will have X suport for GR no doubt

Sigma,

I  dont remeber the storyline of RS or r6, can u explain it to me Grin

GR has more storyline then any R6 games had before - u have to kick the russions out of eastern Europe, thats the storyline, and did a tactic shooter ever need storyline i dont think so ( not the tactic shooter ) action shooter need it b/c there is no ohter motivation.

By the way, did u ever see any  MP Shooter with storyline - expects the Operation Flashpoint  <---- also not a tactic shooter.

So dont say that GR is worse then RS b/c it has no storyline, while RS never had anything that u could even tell a strory.
Cool

Visit www.ofpeditingcenter.com or www.flashpoint1985.com for more info. on the game. These links will give you access to the dedicated PC websites, but give you enough feedback to create an idea of the game for Mac as well.

The game was released a while ago for Windows? and hope it will soon do the same for MacOS?. I'd have to write down a whole novel if I was asked to talk about the game, but since no one's askin'... it ain't worth it. :-)

Regards,
-Beefy, experiencing  crashdisk...

Umm, no. You are helping the Russians fight against a private army... :-\ I really thought that GR was a let down, after all I heard about it. Maybe you guys will like it better. But, I think it has dedicated server support and 32 players in a server Smiley
