General Gossip Moderator Application

So here's the deal:

I am leaving this Thursday for Austin, Texas to work for Aspyr, and I am not sure how much, if at all, I will be around these parts while I am there, which could potentially be up to six months, but more likely just three. 

In that time, we need someone to fill in for me as a moderator for the GG.  Whether this would be a permanent position or just an interim one, has yet to be decided.  It may also be dependant on what we think of your performance. 

Some requirements for this position:
-You regularly check in on the GG, at least once a day.
-You understand the rules of these forums, even though you may not agree with them, you uphold them to the letter.
-You are able to keep your opinions to yourself, and act objectively in situations where moderating is required.
-You are able to write with maturity and intelligence.

So now it's up to those of you interested to post an application for the position.  You are welcome to do it in this thread, or send a PM with your application to me, Voodoo, and Mauti.  I wont provide any specific questions to answer, or format to put your application into, instead that is up to you to figure out.

Keep in mind you must have your applications submitted in a timely manner, preferably before Thursday morning.  I will put the cutoff time at Thursday, 3 AM Pacific Standard Time.  Any PM's or posts that are marked later than 3 AM will be ignored.  We should have a decision made by 12:00 on Thursday, though hopefully we wont run right up to the wire on deciding.

Edit - If you just post something like "I want to be a mod, make me one!" with not much else, your chances of getting the position are slim to none.  This is a job.  Unpaid, but still a job.  Apply for it as such.

well, i'll be around the house for at least 6 months because i'm going to community college for another year before i go to university. i can't garuntee that i go on the site every single day, but i will check it whenever i am at home (i still sleep and eat here most of the time). as for my moderating ability, i can do the best i can and keep my arguments to myself (aka no political/pc threads). kthxbye.

Sorry for getting to the thread an hour late.  Anyway, not that anybody else seemed interested, but the time to apply is over, and we have for the most part made our choice.  However I will not make an announcement, I leave that for Mauti to do by adding said person to the list of GG mods.

So with nothing further to do, I will bid you all farewell for now.  It's been fun, good laughs, good fights.  And all around, it's been an honor to moderate for you guys.  Hopefully I can be back on the job in 3-6 months, but if I dont come back, you know what that means.  Sheix and BFG found me in a dark back alley of Austin, and the rest, well, it will frighten the children.
