Well, i have had many things happen when u let ur players cb, who they want, when they want, and how they want when ur now there.  I would like to ask everyone, even if ur not in a clan:

What would u let ur clan do?

A: Let them cb who they want, when they want, and how they want.

B: let them cb certain clans

C: Dont let them cb at all with out checking with u first

D: Dont let them cb with out u in it

E: Make ranks


Post ur results and WHY u would do that.  I want to see what most people do. Also depending on how good ur clan is i guess can affect the results, but i want to see what many do.  One time in U, if u look at battle leauge results, there was a time where we lost 3 in a row, i wasnt there the whole time they all took place. just and example of what happened. Also i tried making ranks, but the lower ranks didnt like that at all. i know ?k does that, and it seems to work with them.

Well, I know fire makes you check with the leaders  before you cb, although you would have  to infection as to his reason why.

In taf, I let them cb whoever they want as long as they emailed the results to me after the cb. (it couldnt get any worse that  losing 13 cb's so what did a loss mean?)

let everyone cb who they want. if that dont work too good  try assembling a battle team with ppl u can rely on. if ur online 24/ 7 its np askin u, but if u are away and ur members cant cb theyll get pissed off  sooner or later. thats my experience, happened in virus.

i would say make a ranking system. make like 3 Lt.'s that u can depend on and make it that they cant cb without permission from a Lt. or higher.

They shouldnt be in your clan if you wont let them fight in a cb. There is no point in carrying around excess baggage (players) if you dont let them fight on their own. PsYcO and SWAT were like this, and look how they turned out.

KoS would be the rare exception to the rule.

I agree with Sin, no point having them if they can't be active members.  And I don't think the chance of losing is a reason to limit who plays, more likely is if you are more concerned that the CB would run smoothly.

But you may have them to train them to one day cb.  Afterall there is not much free talent out there right now.  Just a bunch of noobs and people in clans.  So take on some not so bad noobs and try to train them.

Well, here in |?K| we use battle commanders which we've found to work very effectivly. Anyone can cb in |?K|, they just have to be along side a commander. This gives more than one option for battling, so that they happen more often, but it makes sure that each battle has a trained commander who knows how to handle themselves.

Nighthawk, I think that with the points system where you lose points for a loss, you can't have your guys just go battle whenever they want, against whoever they want, it's to risky unless you're in a small clan when all of the members can command battles well.

The battling certian clans does work well, we did that in the last battle league, we've had to change our battle stregies for this league a little because if you lose, you lose points.

Yeah, I guess your clan hasnt gotten to the point where you have the luxury of very good people wanting to join...as tempting as it was to get a lot more good people, too big of a clan is gay.

I still stick by my guns with my original statement though. If you want to train them, do like KoS did and form a second clan (KiT in this case).

I can see ur point rapid, i agree, but i dont think i can do it. my members dont like the ranking.  In order to do that, i have to wait till my clan has been around a while like urs so that they just care that they are in it.

hmm.. i let my clan CB whoever whenever they want, and it seems to work out OK. there are rare exceptions, like With KoS after we beat them last time, ultimo and i agreed to not CB each others clan without the other present. And in *NADS, the only ranks are the ranks of time, with myself as a dictator of sorts.

Well Anarchy, thats kinda shown in the fact that you've an under .500 winning percentage, I guess that it goes like this: The clans who only battle with their leaders or Commanders get better precentages, but don't do as many battles, while the clans who let their members battle alone, do more battles, but have lower percentages, that stretegy would work well in the last Battle League, however, in this one with losing points for a loss, I don't think that you can really take a loss or so like that.

My clan is small enough to handle itself.
It's an unwritten rule that Patterson may cb at his own discretion. Same with Jens. But i'll have to tell the newer members (Drag and Tony) when they can do the same. More or less like Capt. Ranks of time. ?
Only difference with eg. |AK| is that these ranks arent official, and dont give the holders the ability to give the other members orders.

letting who ever CB is cool if your clan is equally strong.    If there are some weaker players you can just tell them you can't play clans that are in the top10 or what not so they can still get the CB experience but not hurt the clan.    I disagree with  only being able to report to the leader and i don't think that many games can get played, if he breaks his leg the first 2-3 he won't be able to even get on GR and they clan is frozen.

All of our players are highly capibly of battling against any clan, however, |?K| relys on having a battle commander there, someone who knows it all, all the tricks, like the one I used on Rebel in our 1v1 Also, for us, the commander should be able to pick it up even if he has to do all the work alone.
