You hear it here folks, unless you read Slashdot.  Uwe Boll, a well-known director for games to movies, is writing the script for the movie.  Ben Affleck and Colin Farrell have expressed some type of interest into the movie. http://games.slashdot.org/games/05/01/29/054215.shtml?tid=133&tid=97&tid=10.

So far, this makes two new movies in the making from computer games.

If you don't know them, you are dumb.

although i think Colin Farrell is gay (particularly after watching Alexander)... he was pretty good in S.W.A.T and would fit best into a CS ( Showing my ass ) movie.

I wonder what the plot would be in the movie... I mean... They really can't do Iraq, because the game is based upon the future, really the only place would be North America. There should also be a plot twist... Where they kill Michael Moore.

There is no word of this in Hollywood.

My sources tell me no.

If anything, a Half-Life movie would be well received.

Comments on the page are only a couple days old, so I'm assuming the project hasn't been dropped.

They have been rewriting the script. It's on its sixth writer. No attachments. No start date. Paramount's in some upheavel right now, so a lot of things are up in the air over there. 2006 is still possible.
