One day your hot, one day your not.

Consistency in this game used to be my friend, but as of late, my fingers don't care to act on my brains command.

I play RS, but I have not been playing as regularly as I would like to be or like I used to be, b/c of other things I hafta do work, car etc etc..

Is it me, or can you loose the skills as quickly as you pick them up?

Discuss.

I know the feeling dest, but you dont lose it super fast...depending on the time you are away, you have to have enough games to shake off the rust and you will get back into the action like you were before.

Well, when I got back from Europe, I was really frusterated, My fingers just wouldn't do what my brain told them to do, all my reactions were to slow. It took a whole good week+ of playing to get my skills back, but when they returned, they were better than before.

Yes I must relate RS skills to golf skills. Somedays your hot somedays your not. The one thing that sometimes can kill an RS player is a vacation without RS. Last Christmas I was a decent player who could own. When I got back I had to put the mouse sensitiviy to the least possible. But  then I figured out that you should't be playing to impress people but  to play because you love to and you dont care what happens to you. Thats when I always own.

i got back from a 2 week vacation today and my first game out was a 4 kill game. but yes skills like dancing are easy to lose. when you know a level well, its easy to remember how to win. but when it comes down to things like nading and dancing its a bit tricky if your rusty

Yes Dest, I can relate.  Ever since I have become a mohaa whore i keep mixing up the keys to play rs thinking I am playing mohaa.  I know I can keep the keys the same, but it really fucks up the play quality.

Also, Dest, I don't know why you are complaining, I mean, you have ALWAYS sucked!!  Grin

there's a cure for being in different games and mixing up they keys. just basically use the RS keys for all games.

and when talking about rust: i'm going on vacation to curacao for 3 weeks, on august 7th.
just wait, and you can own me as a noob..  Sad

hmm.. a good way to get noob real fast is to stay awake for about three days straight... you'll be so tired you won't be able to move the mouse, much less kill anyone.

I just got back from a 2 week vacation to the most poluted city on earth (Mexico City) and when i started playing rs i realized that i wasn't a rusty as i thought (but i was still rusty) i could manage a 1 kill average sometimes getting 2 but, nothing near that kills i got before i left. The best way to get off the rust is to play medium players then gradually work up to your normal level. (I just got back yesterday, so this method has been barly tried the long term efects of this are not known)
