Thanks for responding. Whatever final descision is made, we will not argue with. I hope you will consult with other admins before you decide ara.
As a separate issue, I would also like to display my disgust with Civic's behavior during the finals of this season, especially during the match today.
I am just going to say it all.
The first match of the series, twist was the first host (we split host). Since z][t came in first place in the regular season, it was technically their host first... if they chose. But they let Twist host.
This morning (Sat, July 24), before the cb, Civic said we needed to switch host every two games, because twist hosted the first match when they were supposed to. He also said, that because these were quote, "special circumstances", the team that lost the last game gets the map pick, even on the new host. We were stupid. We decided it would be best not to dispute these rules of Civic's, and just go along with them. I guess this was a big mistake.
Later in the match, when we were doing Battlefield, Civic decided to switch over to our team at the last second before the game started. We aborted the game, but not before Civic had a chance to see all of our kits. He claimed it was an accident, but I won't fall for that and I don't think anybody else will either. This just goes to show what Civic and his clan will do when they are desperate. It is too bad.
I do not know if anything Civic did was actually illegal, but he tried, and succeeded, at taking advantage of us multiple times. We were noobs, and agreed to do things his way, without questions asked.
The fact is though, that he is a DAMN BL admin, and was chosen for the position because people felt he could be trusted to abide by the rules, and set a good example for the rest of the community. At this point in time, I don't feel I can trust him to do the job he was elected to do.
I realize I have no "hard proof" of what I have accused Civic of doing, and next time we will remember to take screenshots of everything Civic says or does. In fact, the former was even suggested to us by a few other members of the community, but we didn't listen.
I am asking that all the issues that I have brought up are thouroughly considered by the admins. Whatever happens, something needs to change. The point of this league is to have fun, and it can't happen when members of the community - especially admins - feel the need to lie in order to win their matches.
This post is in no way an attempt to "flame without proof".... although I know I will still get accused of it. I guess that's just the way things are around here.
Edit: Btw, Rampage was hosting that game, he sent the replay to us.

first
, because both teams, of course, didnt want the disadvantage of not starting to host twice, we had to figure something out... i SUGGESTED Twist that we switch host after every 2 games... he said ok and wanted to start the first to matches... i said np. it worked very good that way... no disadvantage for both clans, cO even got to host once more.
second
, i did never say something about any "special circumstances"... here's the rules:
"5. The guest clan, which is the clan that is not hosting, chooses team color/slot and the
first
map played. Team color/slot cannot be changed as long as the same clan hosts. If the other clan starts hosting the guest clan can choose a different team color/slot."
this one is maybe more clear:
"7. In the
first
game of a CB, the guest clan chooses the map. In all subsequent games of the CB, the clan that lost the previous game chooses the next map. In case of a tie, the clan that did not chose the last time selects the next map."
this are NOT my rules as you wrote... plz stop accusing me of anything.

i was changing between the teams, i mean the red and yellow buttons over the squads with the numbers 2 and 3... you know what i mean. i accidently hit the first Alpha squad spot under button number 2, your team.
and no, i didnt check any kits. i was confused when i saw you guys running around in front of me. Twist did the same the game after, intentionally, to check kits... which he posted in the game mainchat some seconds later.
this was simply a stupid accident... and i?m sry if it?s such a big deal for you.

Sorry for taking so long to reply to this.
Twist and i had talks after the match yesterday and they where not heated or flaming. i wanna start w something - the finals have moved along great and postponing has not been a problem. there was no flaming in games or accusing of anything(other than now) it was a tight fought final/s between two good clans.
Twist sent me a pm after the final match and after recieving replays. And told me that he believed it was a glitch. After looking at the replays and doing so for at least 20 times, i still believe that Gabe got unlucky and Vieia got lucky. i can understand your reaction to this Twist and cO and i think most ppl would in a final. but i really think it came down to luck. Gabe missed alot in the beginning and stress is a factor in a important match like this(not dissing your skills Gabe)
Gabe - When civic ended up on your team when we started battlefield, he honestly fucked up. that was a mistake and no he didnt say anything about kits when we restarted. We gave him a rash of shit on nf. but then one of your guys did the same. no big deal. you guys won that one anyway. and Civic has said he is sorry. I cant talk for or defend civic when it comes to your "private" convos, since i havent seen them. he will have to deal w that.(no flaming needed in your direction Gabe)
We will take whatever outcome standing up. we all played good games, cO too.
but it would be nice to find out soon. this certainly put a damper on things.
cO, i really think this comes down to luck. it happens sometimes.

So how does this explain how you guys chose the first map when we switched to Rampage's host? You won the first game, we won the second game, then we switched to your guys host, and you picked the map.
that's exactly what the rules say... we first started the cb on twist's server... we chose the first map because we were the guest clan... after that the guest never gets to pick again, always the loser of the last game (it doesnt matter at all if the host switches). that was us in your example, so we got to pick the map.
Quote from: Gabe on July 26, 2004, 02:52:37 am
I questioned why you guys would choose the first map on your host, and you replied that it was because the rules changed when we were switching hosts every two games.
i did NEVER say anything about that the rules changed because we agreed to switch host after every 2 games (the rules were always like that).
in that moment (when we left your host and switched to ours) i was even OUTSIDE of the gameroom, NOT inside yet, checking the rules especially for this because i was not completely sure. my clanmembers told me over nf that they told u that i'm checking and that you, cO, already said that it was ok (which it really is, according to the rules). i joined the game and didnt have to say anything, and didnt. nobody of you talked to me about this.[/color]

First of all, I am going to drop my charges against Civic. After talking to my clan and twist, it seems that, for most of what I accused him of, Civic was just exercising his persuasion skills, and Twist being a fucking retard and agreeing to whatever Civic said. Sorry for the misunderstanding Civic.
Second, to Sar, Stripes, and others:

If you weren't involved in either of these two clans or if you don't have any constructive or helpful comments about the situation, then don't post at all.
Thank you.
If you still can't understand this, here it is again:

Although the fuss here... I can safely say that cO was a damn tough opponent and they're making me sleep uneasy. Next season is going to be a real tough one with Toxic and BTs coming back... and cO. I salute cO for the excellent games.

Last time I checked, the BattleTek Squad was not participating in Season IX. Sorry guys. And after looking through some of the recent threads in the BL Section of the forum, I can see why.

if z][t is in the DBL in season 9, which they will be, i will NOT be participating. cO can if they like, but Civic, along with his other butt buddies are a bunch of lying, corrupt little bitches. You can take this however the fuck you want. But as long as Civic is an admin, i will have nothing to do with the DBL.

plz tell me... when did i or any other z][t member ever lie to you or anyone else in cO? i strongly doubt that anyone of my clanbuddies did AND i know for sure that I didn't.
i completely understand that u're probably pretty frustrated and/or disappointed now... and if you think that i have something to do with the decision about the last cb... u're wrong. i said no word to it because my clan is involved.
please stop accusing me of things i did not do or say.

And please stop generalizing , most of us don't come to the forums and do not even talk to the others clans about cbs ...
That's the work of some people inside the clan to schedchuled cbs , the others are not aware of the decisions that can be taken in private .

I'm thinking about not coming back to the DBL, at least not for GhR. All because of the lack of consistent, worthy admins. Things could change but I see a bright future for the MGL if shit like this continues. Go ahead and edit that out, just shows more corruption in this Admin core.

Gay bashing is so old, Twist. Join the orgies instead.
And so: The next season will be a tough one with core, cO and the new clan Pm)(
Also, it seems it will be a way more polite season without you, Twist. Give the leadership over to Blufire. He's sensible.

Mr Twist is well respected among the other clans. He shows great gamesmanship which is greatly appreciated. Without Mr Twist.. Ghost Recon and DBL has lost a quality person.

ok boys and girls, I'm locking this.
Go to your rooms!! this is no longer constructive...and hooks, yeah buddy I think you took it a step too far. looking at this thread from the outside, it looks motivated by bad sportsmanship and a little immaturity thrown in too. Which is too bad because it started out somewhat constructive.
Everyone is kidding themselves if you think this kind of thing will change in a new battle league (meaning problems, disputes or bad eggs in the bunch), because if you think about it this has nothing to do with the BL. it's simply time for everyone to get along. AND STOP TAKING THIS VIDEO GAME THING SO SERIOUSLY. :-)
