game-ranger error

if i try to connect to game-ranger since the last gr-update for mac i get this message at every join:

NON-STANDARD MODIFICATIONS
Non-standard modifications were detected in your install of ghost recon. Please re-install it

i havent installed any mods yet, i cleaned all out, but its always the same message, whatever i do

i moved all mods out of my mod-folder

and gameranger doesnt answer

any help or ideas are welcome

Try reinstalling Ghost Recon, and do all the updates.
Then put your mods back in the correct folder.

It should work now.

ok, and then i can start frostbite frome the beginning, island thunder from the beginning etc. in SP

bad move, but better reinstall then no games in the web

I think there is a way to take your saved files out of the folder and put them on the desktop, once installed, put them back in the same folder and you should get your mission where you left of.

But I'm not sure about that, but I think it would work. Look at all the other games, they all have that same options, so why no ghost recon.

Just look for the names you gave the files and copy.

i reinstall it all and my gr-prog says vers. 1.03 now

no way into game-ranger

and the blatant morons there at gameranger dont answer my question, 5 mails, no answer, what a crap  

 

so, i take a step back and try a new install tomorrow if im relaxed again . . .

after three fresh installs and 5 miles to the service of game ranger (which they dont answer any of them) and after the update to 1.03 i cannot join any internetgame of ghost recon

how is the right update step by step to vers. 1.03 for macintosh

maybe there is my fault, i dunno

Ok here goes:

1) download first update from here and install it (after installing rename to "GhostReconUpdate1.sit" copy it to a safe place)

2) download second update from here and install it (after installing rename to "GhostReconUpdate2.sit" copy it to a safe place)

3) download last update from here and install it (after installing rename to "GhostReconUpdate3.sit" copy it to a safe place)

I hope it works now... Otherwise contact Aspyr instead of gameranger, they are more likely to help...

here on damnR6 download section are three updates

can i use them, are they the last updates ?

Try 'em now, they should work now  

Had a minor bug in the code...

I tried them here and they worked fine so... pls try again, or download 'em from the DAMN site, just install 'em in the right way.

Try contacting Evill on gameranger he's the owner of gameranger. Explain your prob to him very nicely (dont mention its a copied version, you'll get banned from gameranger   ). He will try to sort it out with you.

He's online around 4 am, mb 5am GMT untill ...

He prolly knows what the error means.

if i join now a server with a "damnmappack" or a "newdamnmappack" i cant join (unnessesarily to say that people dont write down the link or the exact name which of the mappacks from here they use, and i cannot see here which downloads are new)

if use mods from here and it is not on the server, i cannot join etc etc

and this is all since gameranger make this update and ghost recon is updated to 1.03

this all is a bit boring

im not shure that im willing to take care a few days for some modifications to play with others

this all should he handled more easy

the fun is out in some way

it is just like you spend a 5 year old kid a pc or a mac and maya and then you say "do it" to the kid

it is nice for me that i was able to say it loud ones here

now i shut up  

i will go for a pc and then i will play halo and ut2003 and stuff  

its far more better then hanging around for a week for modifications which dont let me join wtf ever server there on gameranger

yet i can join at least 5 servers from 20, and that sucks  

so, thank you for your kind help here in general, i like that and software and gamemakers and also the doodes from gameranger should learn from DAMN R6

Its sad to hear it mate...

But it seems to me that only the guys who copied a Ghost Recon version are having those problems.

I heard a lot of problems from other guys aswell...

Mb just buy the original version and when registred you can start complaining to Aspyr if it doesn't work.
