Did you actually want us to read the book online?  Oh well, I'm already in favor of restricted legalization simply because it isn't proven that any more people would use it...it would lessen the prisioner load...it would take money away from drug runners because it could be grown here...it would assure higher quality products i.e. less hazardous.  Any number of good reasons for legalizing it...not a whole lot to keep it illegal.

     There's no reason whatsoever to keep marijuana illegal. It's illegal because tobacco and alcohol want it illegal. ::shrug::

     However, RJ Reynolds has copyrighted the names of various strains of marijuana, e.g. Panama Red, so it can be easily inferred that they feel that pot will be legalized sometime soonish.
