Spiderman #1 was published in 1962, X-men #1 was published in 1963.  Cookie will be glad to know that Wolverine was first seen the The Hulk (but they are usually enemies).

I heard that Fantastic Four is being made into a movie now, that will be interesting (they predate Spiderman and X-men - 1961), but I'm more interested in a Captain America (1958) movie, if you are talking Marvel.  If it's wide open, it would have to be something from Image/Wildstorm.  imagine Zelot and Voodoo, or the Gen13 genre.  The way they drew them at Image, it would need an NC-17 rating.  They could do something interesting with WildCATS or Gen13/DV8 if they wanted to.

Really really cool would be if they did The Sub Mariner.  Prince Namor could be a great movie, with lots of possibilities, and is still Marvel (go Stan).  He's also much more old school, since his first appearance was from 1939 (Marvel #1)

If it hadn't been for Michael Keaton, it would have been the best, but he brought it down for me.  Good actor, but just not Batman to me.  The way it was, I'd say Superman 2 was better then Batman.  BTW, both the first Batman and Superman's were the only ones that were really right on to the characters.  X-men pissed me off because it screwed up some of the Marvel story lines.  Wolverine and Sabertooth and their history was erased, along with Rogue / Mystique / Nightcrawler's ties (although that could be salvaged with some creative writing).  I hear X-men 3 is going into the Dark Phoenix area, which could be cool.

Rogue / Mystique / Nightcrawler's ties (although that could be salvaged with some creative writing).  I hear X-men 3 is going into the Dark Phoenix area, which could be cool.

The ties you are talking about still could happen in the third one, and it will be about Dark Phoenix. What I wanna know is when Rogue is gonna get her strength and when the sentinels are gonna make an appearance AND WHERE THE HELL IS GAMBIT! I wonder if they will hold off on the sentinel war thing and make a forth one. Also Peter Mccoy(sp) is in it or "Beast" but he is in the background on T.V. as a human and Jubilee was in the first just chillen I hope they bring these characters in and I also hope Havoc makes an appearance.

Erm.. one more thing. Wasn't Gambit an original X-men character?

on X2...

like i said before, the only thing i REALLY enjoyed about it was wolverine killing people. on the other hand, like bucc said, it completely ignored some of the histories and connections between the characters (which i find the most interesting part of the comic), rogue was really stupid, and magneto.. ugh, they so messed him up. he was too goddamn funny in the 2nd, the comic relief killed it for me.

anyway..

beast was in the X2 during the bar scene between the security guard and mystique, he was a news reporter or something. i guess that forshadows his appearance in the third. i really liked the dark phoenix saga, so i have high hopes for the third.

Cookie is right, Dr Hank McCoy was in the background of X2, and Gambit's name was in the computer files that were being stolen as well (if I remember correctly).

A problem there is having the Gambit / Rogue love story going on when she's so young (not to mention they have her playing with IceMan right now.)

Give me Namor!
