The Wimbledon Tennis Tournament

I have a feeling this year's tournament is going to be grand: the female Belgians are playing great tennis, despite Henin's hand injury and Clijster's 'bad shoulder', and the male American players?Agassi and Roddick?have both won one game already. On the other hand, I'm not sure if the English will survive. And by the way, is Ivanosevich playing at all?
Well, what do you think?? I'm totally for Agassi.? If he loses, I'll probably jump off a bridge...just kidding.

Tennis is a gay sport. The only time it is decent is when you are playing. Watching tennis puts me to sleep.

I feel that without Pete this year Wimbledon is has a huge hole in it :\

Your answer is blatant?why would you say that, Ulti? Have you ever played tennis before? have you ever seen real tennis?
To some extent, I agree tennis can be gay, unless it is played like it should be. Don't forget tennis has to appeal to the eyes first.
Tennis is an elegant sport. Hitting the ball and making it bounce all over the court is not the purpose of game. Some tennis players, or maybe the broader-minded would agree it's about the tactics, the timing, the expertise. Apparently you know shit about it.
Maybe putting you to sleep is for the better, Ulti.

I'm not much of a tennis observer, but I do appreciate men's tennis. The powerful serves are amazing to watch, and their ability to precisely control the placement of a high-speed serve in order to get an ace is impressive. Women's tennis, on the other hand, I have no interest in. I don't want to watch people volleying a ball back and forth, I want to watch single-serve points like you get in men's tennis.

beefy, I don't want to defend any comments using gay to mean bad, but I think Ult was clear that watching tennis is what is bad, not playing.
I must say my personal preference is towards tennis that isn't about power as much...I like seeing rallies. Women's tennis used to be better for that but recently not so much. I really liked watching High School girls tennis, we had a bunch of hotties on our team not to mention some of the best players in the state.
I was just a fairly good JV player though...couldn't crack Varsity (who have now won something like 12 straight state championships).

i think ulti's comment is completely unecessary and if he does not like tennis he should keep to himself and not go out of the way to bash tennis in a thread made by someone who loves tennis. i dont even like tennis but i think ulti is a tool for making that comment

stfu if posting my feelings on a subject is not welcome on a forum, then its a gay forum too. I've seen people bash many other things alot harder so don't talk about me.
And beefy, I said playing tennis is ok, but watching it is gay. So why did you ask me if I played it before. Obviously I have if i said it was decent. Read my post before you attack me you faggot

Ult seems to have some sexuality insecurities leading to homophobia. Come on Ult, no reason to sound bigoted, just come to grips with yourself and don't use such terms.

I apologize, but some poeple just rub me the wrong way and I write down whatever I would say to them face to face at that certain time.

Yep Roddick was playing Rusedski... and poor Rusedski messed up int he third set big time.. stupid call from the crowed, and neither umpire would call replay,.. and Roddic was very unsportmanlike and would not let a point replay... it totally threw Rusedski... A real shame.
For those of you who don't live in the UK... Tennis is great but our TV's have been totally overwhelmed by it here.. Both BBC1 and BBC2 seem to show nothing but wimbledon now...
(Henin looks good, As does Aggasi, and Henman, and the Williams of course!)

Now, why shouldn't they? Tennis is great sport. And the players this year are fantastic. That's primarily why Wimbledon is being broadcasted.
I have never been a great fan of Henman's. There's just something about him that ticks me off. But, he has an awful lot of volley winners, and that is what makes him a good tennis player.
Yes, Henin
is
looking good, despite the hand injury. Luckily enough, she is doing better.
Why didn't you mention Clijsters? She is by far my favorite Belgian player. She relies on tactics rather than her strength, and she seems to enjoy the game too.
Argh, GO AGASSI!

Well, tennis is gay so it only seems appropriate to use terms like "faggot" in a thread talking about it.
Besides, the only time tennis is worth watching is when Anna Pornikova plays.

I don't understand you people. Why on earth would you say tennis is gay? You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

It's quite simple. Ace is trying to look like a "big man" on the forums to compensate for the fact that in real life, he's about as big as a fire hydrant.

Bah, maybe you're right...maybe tennis
is
gay. But I don't mind. And that's what really counts.
Tell me then, what sports are you in to?

Right then...has anyone seen Agassi play El Aynaoui? I haven't had time to watch the match and I want to know the scores.
