Apparently there are some improvements to sound quality in 4.0.1, so I would recommend getting a copy of that as well. I have heard that you can run both 4.0 and 4.0.1 side by side. I found a pristine copy of the 4.0 installer, so I'll mirror it as soon as I have a chance.

Why upgrade and lose features?
Stick with 4.0 and once icommune works properly i'd recomend upgrading

I gotta say the option of archiving your music libary onto a DVD is pretty nice too... not that it's not possible to just drag the stuff onto your DVD (those with superdrive that is!).. But a nice feature none the less.

I hear there are one or two stability issues that have also been resolved...

Anyone know of any good leeching apps that work with 4.0.1 over a rendezvous network? (I imagine this question could sound silly... but I do have a very good reason for wanting for a program like that.)

In other news: My IP is static, and is 139.140.76.76, also known as faulkner.bowdoin.edu.  It's not up currently, but by this time tomorrow it will be.
