Ok its true that IT pc doesnt work good on mac, but it isnt a way to shoot Mauti for the good work he did with bringing us this cool mod

so dont buy UBIsoft...

Many people are boycotting htem because they are a French company, and even more people are boycotting them because they fucked up Raven Shield.

As for them going after Mauti, I wouldn't expect any less from a crappy company...Tom Clancy probably wouldn't have done shit like that.

I wouldn't boycott ubisoft, apple sent the same sort of letter to the guy who made an amazing p2p app (iCommune), and i haven't boycotted apple because of that.
I would think that this sorta thing would fall under the fair use clause of the DCMA (personal), but selling duplications of their cds is a no-no.  Who knows, i'm no lawyer, talk to the ACLU mb.

btw, MS games are made so much better than anything i've seen ubi make.

Should have qualified what I meant by crappy company, because you are right, just because they are French doesn't make thema  crappy company.

They are a crappy company because they fucked up Raven Shield and are blaming it on the buyers of the game. To top it off, they refuse to release a patch and their tech support is non existant, and when you get through, they don't help one iota.

It is apparent to me that Ubi is more focused on damaging people who help them, than trying to fix the buggy piece of shit known as Raven Shield that they released.

try using the edit button horda,

If you buy a peice of software you can use it however you want(with exceptions) as long as you don't break an encryption scheme (this is why divxing your DVDs is illegal while ripping your CDs is ok, well for now at least).
you can read the whole thing here, http://www.loc.gov/copyright/legislation/dmca.pdf

However after looking at the letter again, it seems that Ubi is bitching about lost potential profits, which they could sue over and probly win without much dispute.  Our laws might not apply to mauti in his home country, but gamespy would get shafted.

Ubisoft made the brilliant Rayman 2.  For that they shall forever be cherished...at least until I play Rayman 3 and am greatly disappointed.

Invalid CD key, Critical Error, Kit Item failure, desktop bug (takes you out of game and sends you to desktop while you are still in the game), reloading and firing glitch (gun doesn't stop doing it regardless), server did not respond error, ready button bug, and many more.

As for other gripes...they "tweaked" the new unreal engine (basically they fucked it up...max fps I have seen was 50 with a Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB card, where as UT2003 was around 90fps), poor netcode which causes tremendous lag spikes (even in a high speed lan game), and random freezes.

Thankfully I do not have all of the above mentioned glitches and bugs, but I have many of them and my friends have many of them. The game is in such bad shape that some poeple cannot even play it out of the box because it refuses the recognize an internet connection.

If Ubi would have properly beta tested their product, we would have been glad to wait an additional month...but all they did was rush (after a 5 month delay) a beta out on to the market and swindled people out of cash. This game is in such poor working order that local stores are accepting them back even after they have been opened for a full refund.

To top it off, Ubi blames the users of the game...very unprofessional and very stupid.

Added on: Don't get me wrong, the game is damn fun, but all of the glitches detract from gameplay and sometimes make you want to yell out of frustration. I can't wait until the first patch is released...hopefully they fix these damn errors.

Sin, I think that most of the bugs you are talking about you are only experiencing. Althought there are some bugs that Mr. Clark has told me about. As far as the fps situation, Mr. Clark has a 2.4 ghz Dell with the 9700 128 pro and gets spikes of over 100fps and I have seen that with my own eye's.

Most of the poeple I know who play this game are experiencing these bugs, not just me. You can take a look for yourself at the Raven Shield forums although most people only complain of the bigger bugs such as crit error and invalid cd-key.

Maybe your friend is lucky, but the vast majority are getting hit with these bugs.

Well Jeb selling the Mac Edition CD wasn't the point why Ubisoft sent me the mail. If you read their letter they even recognize that you need the PC version to get the CD, but they also want to have the patch down.

I wouldn't boycott Ubisoft also I am optimistic that I can bring back the patch next week. Stephanie Maillot has such a sweet voice, hehe. It seems they were surprised that I immediatly called them. Serious, the IT patch is a modification like every other mod for R6, RS or GR. That's the point they miss because it is named patch. Currently Ubisoft seems to be very friendly so let's wait. All in all only 4promille made use of the full Mac Edition offer.

Let's hope for us Mac user,

Mauti
