Oh yeah i was in that game... That was funny. But i have to say what makes a Vet in my mind is.
?Not the GameRangerID
?How long they've been actully playing the games R6 and RS
?There skillz
?But most of all there status with the other RS and R6 player's.

A vet is anyone who conducts themselves in game and out like Grifter did.

Hmmm I think Im still a Newbie but I heard that Newbieship is over after year 1. I have 5 days until 1 year of playing Six. Im pretty good but nothing special. depending on my mood I can be agreeable or not and those who fight with me usualy do it because im a liberal and I didnt know Grifter so I dont know how I stack up.

Just having played it for a year doesn't make a veteran imo. You have to be seen as a veteran by others to be a veteran, so it's all about how other people percept you.

1. You came DIRECTLY from R6
2. A semi Low Account number (below 40,000)
3. Not A Clan whore
4. Respect from the people that play the game that you are best at

Plz Gray stay on topic.
But enny ways. I was thinking and i relised that no one that I know of in the RS and R6 comunity ever reached the honor of being Elite. Elite is something that cant be ubtained, well I was thinking about this in the car while stoned...
So if there arn't enny "Elite's" then there are very veiw Vet's as well. Jeb, Oso and Ulto like Cossack said are the only ones on the top of my mind, I could think of more but it doesnt matter.
Good Night.

I miss those days when school was hard cause i'd play rainbow six for 4 hours straight every night. When every night i'd have arguments with all the sixes, seals, the sbr's, and damns. Back in the day when id' change my name every week trying to be mysterious and join a good clan. Now well all play ghost recon once in a while and r6 is dieing off. Its so sad. I'm going to go cry...later.

Oooh, all this talk brings back the memories, esp Mauti's article on the front page.
Back in the days of SiX, dts, DAMN, SEALs, POD, Syrup. Then then was BLUE, esp (esp was before SiX), dos (dos was before dts), good old WLA and MR MAUL. I miss those days, the R6 days, the late nights. It was using hbs and prefire. Triple burts carbine, on city, through the window at the opposing team's main doorway out right off the bat. I miss SiX! Kor, Jami, JN, Meph, EZ, Park, Krez, Pun, Piggy, Roy (Roy and his non-hbs ways). dts too, dontpush, friendlyfire and wiseguy. aaahhhh, anyways, enough of that. good times had by all. good times.

I have the first 3. As for the fourth, they may or may not respect me as a player. Not as a person. As a person I have a tendency toward S&M and bestiality (sometimes at the same time)... and most people are just too sheltered to be into that.
Thankfully, Wrath is not most people. *wink*

That is of course the main reason I haven't met Mort, but I do find him serially amusing.
And I'll just add my own definition of a vet to the mix -
Anyone who's been around as long or longer than you have. Seriously, don't we all feel that way?

Ahh, very good point made there by Loudnotes. That's pretty much how I feel about it, too, now that I think about it.

When I said RSL club i dident mean Rogue Spear Club, i meant Retired Services Legue, u know, where real veterns go to eat cheap, well here in australia anyway. with mauti saying you had to be a true r6 player, but none of the true ones play anymore, so now you know what i mean. i was just throwing some anger at mauti, considering a have all aspects of a vet bar playing r6 for awhile.

Ok. Changing my definition. Vets not skill or age, its respect from other Vets. The definition of a Vet starts with the best, and then whoever he/she respects or is friends with becomes a vet, and it goes on..
Roy, you're a sexy vet
Zait, you're not a vet.
SK, You're saying I'm a vet?
Buffy, Awwww. Good times!
Sunny, One splurge of random letters: s/?!
We owned!
Grey, I just hope thats a lame joke.

Grayhound,
i do not know if i am a vet in your eyes, but its is not true that noone of the old guys is playing anymore.
Some are still there: all old EUR members: Stevie, Raphael, Neutron, Orkan, Nitraat and me we are all still playing. Yes we are still online and we play R6, RS and GhR. And I can say that some other vets besides the clan EUR still play one of these games. Some still do with R6.
So many of the original r6 players are still on and fight.
