New KoS website Debuts

I know some of you have been waiting for me to show this so I figured I would post it here. There are a few bugs left I stil have to kink out but overall the site is complete. Please give me feedback, positive and negative. It took me and my brother 4 days to make, lol.

Ultimo, i just wanna let u know on the poor job you did on it.  Man the effort level shows. Your site really sucks.  Lame screen shots too.

wee.. gotta love nitpicking....


? The top banner looks kind out of place without a border around it or being flush up against  the sides.

? The borders of the buttons on the navbar are thin at the top and bottom, but in the middle where' they're all close to each other they get double up and are twice as thick. personally, I think this looks kinda chunky.

? The roster page takes a long time to scroll through, a list of name-links at the top of the page that'll make it jump down to the name you click on could make it a lot easier to navigate.

? Maybe putting a break between the SS's on the roster page would make it a bit better, it looks kinda all smashed together as it is.

? The counter numbers on the CB record page don't blend in with the background.. maybe a little box around them, even just a table with a border, might make them fit in a bit better.

? The credits page is just bland. Photoshop up a little image or something to give it some life.

? In the SS section, when you click "artwork" or "screenshot", when the next page loads the one you clicked stays glowing. Doing something like this for the navbar could add another little good thing.


That's all I can think of for now. On the good side, it looks great and I love the downloads section.

Everyone else, thank you for your feedback. I did use some of your suggestions like seperating the buttons and roster pics alittle. I will work more later cuz right now I am sick and tired of working on website stuff.

On top of Anarchy's nitpicking, I'd point out that your "join KOS" form doesn't work.  If you can, I'd suggest using a cgi script with it.  My personal favorite is Soupermail but it's a little bulky.

You misspelled "inspiration" on the credits page.

Also, although they look great, Flash rollovers alienate people who don't have Flash.  If you don't care, that's fine, but otherwise I'd suggest Photoshop and mouseover scripts.

And romulus, your site looks like a Microsoft template on LSD.  It loaded cumbersomely and has no functionality.  Great job!

Wow.. Isn't that something? I talked to a professional web designer, and he thought it was a really great layout, and then this newb who can't make a site that looks halfass decent says that i's a Microsoft template. Wow.

This layout was made using Photoshop7 and 3D Studio Max5, and EditPlus - text editor for the 1337 Just because you can?t make it doesn?t mean you need to slam it.

Your Photoshop site design is overcomplicated, and the HTML is clunky.

And I fully believe it to be original, although it has the same tastelessness common to the templates made by "professional web designers" at Microsoft.

oh yea... loudnotes, couple things i've been meaning too say about that capitol law site:

the rollover color for the buttons kinda clashes, and the text on them looks slightly above-center. otherwise, it's a great site.

You really have wasted some time warezing 3dstudiomax on that site, it seems that you made some surfaces and swirled them, then rendered. 3d backgrounds serve no purpose other than impressing ADD kids with the pretty pictures.

The entire site is a imagemap fresh out of a photoshop 7 export   which isn't so great to our friends on 56k.

text editor for the 1337  Just because you can?t make it doesn?t mean you need to slam it.

It doesn't seem that any part of the source has been touched with your "1337" text editor. "<!-- ImageReady Slices (layout.psd) -->" which i'm sure the leetness came in with 5 body and page atributes had to be changed.
