ok...If anyone ahsn't heard theres been a spambot going around in games.

It's name was "Spambot1.0a"
It kept spamming 50lines
"Spambot1.0a***SPAMMING***"

Damn that thing!!!

i had a run in with the same guy one did

i found that if you put a password on the rs game it's self(not the game room) and put the password in the game title, they seem to go away

btw, i was in lionpant's game when the spammer came in. annoying as hell. Many people pointed fingers at xoclipse.

If you guys want to find out who it is, it shouldn't be tough, although it would require hosting in OS X. Write a shell script to do a netstat and store it in a log. When you go to host, put it in cron and have it run every minute. If/when the spambotter shows up, note the time. Later, go check your logs for what IP joined on the RS port at that time.

I think its Rancid he hasnt been playing RS forever although he plays Mohaa under the name of squall. I think it would be him. Yeah that asshole spammed Ps?ks. Infects, Vapors and my game.

Booting it crashes rs, as psyks found out.
However, locking the game from rs, NOT gr, with  a simple pw prevents it from joining

You can't boot the spambot like Cringe said, because it freezes the host and the host can't control all the lag, so the host crashes.

Actually lion was able to boot him...after several spam lines.

but he came back within 4 seconds and spammed again. Lion then booted him again, and didn't crash, though about 5 people in the game did.
