FSU-Miami: Well, from FSU's point of view maybe it's at least a moral victory that it wasn't wide right. Either way, Miami is lucky to escape with a win (as with the past three times this happened).

OU-Texas: While it would be easy to place all the blame on Simms, the rest of their offense wasn't that spectacular and their defense got rolled. But still, I don't think Simms is a capable big game QB.

FUCLA-Oregon: I didn't get to see this, but wahoo! Some of my buddies were hoping FUCLA would win so it would be easier to beat Oregon in the Pac-10 standings, but nothing warms my heart more than FUCLA losing.

USC-Cal: Well, it looked pretty ugly midway through the second quarter, but our guys came back to win it. They were lucky they got that fumble recovery; the crowd was going to sleep. Mike Williams had an outstanding game, and so did Carson. That late Cal TD was a little nerve racking, but we got the onside kick and pulled it out. Bring on Washington!

BTW Cossack, NCAA swimming championships aren't until somewhere in the spring around the time of Nationals (maybe a little earlier).

Chris Brown had a sweet 309 yards rushing in CUs win over Kansas, third highest single game total for a CU player.  Air Force demolished BYU and can now focus on Notre Dame, a team with a shitty offense.

Our kicker should die...we thouroughly dominated Oregon, but a blocked PAT and missed game winning field goal caused us to lose. Kudos to the Oregon kicker who kicked a 59 yard monster before half-time.

This is the second straight year that we have lost to Oregon because our kicker missed a field goal.

Heh, now you know how we felt against WSU.

If the Oregon kicker made a 59 yarder, that is just sick. I wish I had seen that.

Dude, you are from MN and your favorite team is the Bears...that is just wrong.  It is one thing to have a favorite team other than the Vikings that is in the AFC or at least in another division, but to pick one in the same division...that shows no support at all for home teams.

As I was born in Minnesota and live in Colorado my favorite teams are

NFL: Broncos and Vikings
NHL:Used to be the North Stars but now the Avs completely
NBA: Lakers (formerly the Minnesota Lakers)
MLB: Twins, Rockies, Cubs (Reason for Cubs is they were only team I could watch on TV as a kid).
College: CU, Air Force, and Norther Colorado, CC hockey
Soccer: Rapids, Liverpool FC
uhh, NASCAR: Tony Stewart (specifically because he drove the Menards car in IRL before he came to NASCAR...my Uncle works at Menards and thus I became a Stewart fan, thankfully he turned out to be a good one).
Figure Skating: Sasha Cohen, AP McDonagh (she went to my High School)

That is about all the sports I could think of favorite teams/atheletes in.

What is with you people? With the very, very rare exception, you can only have ONE favorite team. Zaitsev has half the top 10 as a "favorite team" and if favorite teams were wives Bondo would make even Mormon bigamists stare wide-eyed in amazement. Seriously Zait, how could you be both a Saints fan AND a Niner fan. Up until this year they were in the same division. That would be like me becoming a Padres fan even though I love the Giants. And Bondo, of all of those, how can you even begin to justify the Lakers? Because they were originally from Minneapolis? Come on. I guess everyone in Kansas City and Philadelphia should be A's fans then.

BTW, I believe this makes 1000 posts. Damn.

Well, lets see, since I was born in MN, it is natural to think my parents lived in MN and were Lakers fans from when they were in MN.  So naturally I was a Lakers fan.  Being born in MN is a completely acceptable reason to be a Lakers fan, and if Kansas City and Philadephia choose to be A's fans so be it. What, am I supposed to be a Nuggets fan?  I suppose it is worth mentioning that I was much more a fan of the Magic, Kareem, James Worthy, etc. Lakers, as the Lakers have switched I've become a bit indifferent about them, but compared to any other NBA team they are still my favorite...basically the NBA sucks.

Oh, and of those listed I'd only like one as my wife thank you very much, not that I'm ethically opposed to poligamy

P.S.  I passed 2500 posts a few days ago.
