Well, My birthday is tomarrow.... and im getting money for ghost recon.  The game ive heard soo much about.  And its finally comming out soon, will there be a ladder for it?  I hope so, otherwise i might consider waiting for raven's shield.  Forgive me if this question has come up, I think it be cool if there was a ladder for Ghost recon.  *DAMN has done so much for all of RS players, i thank u very much, and if u dont got time to make a ladder i understand but i would like one.  TY Good Bye.

Yes, already said by Mauti, you will find it either on an earlier post or on the main page. Since Ghost Recon is a Tom Clancy RS/R6 style game, of course *DAMN will support it.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the demo mostly, because I need to see if the game will run half decently on my g3 350 imac...

PCs do tend to have nice graphics, they also have many problems, one of them being that Windows XP looks like it was drawn by a 3 year old on a bumpy airplane ride, and two that as a genral rule, PCs don't last as long as macs.

hahahahah, ur right xp does look like that, out of the box. But once you get it, like i did, i hexed a bunch of stuf, and customized everything, now it no longer looks like a 3 yr olds drawing, but it is my own drawing. Windows Xp is much more customizable than macs btw. And, ive had pcs for years, and they dont break down like you say

This seems to have drifted away from the BL question to more general talk so it shall drift to the GG forum.  Please feel free to continue the discussion there.

How is this ladder going to work?  I have a friend who plays ghost recon on pc, he showed me the clan ladder and I'd have to say it looked like the most complicated shit ever.  They had 3 different types of cb, and i think it was totally based of kills not wins.  And clans had alliances with other clans and stuff like that, it was really strange

The reason that it is comlicated is because in Ghost Recon you can have 3 teams ( 3 or 4, not sure ), therefor battles can be done with more than just 2 clans. It could be as simple as 5 points for first place in a battle, 2 for second, 1 for third. But I am sure that the *DAMN Battle League Staff will figure out a good way to make a system.

Well, three team thing wouldn't work too well with current system but I think the easiest way to do it would be to give first place the points of winning, second place would get no points, and third place would get the loss penalty.  I think with that system we could keep virtually the same points system that we currently have.  A lot of it will depend on how long RS lives on.  If RS dies quickly we wouldn't have any reason not to just re-do the whole point system for GR.

P.S.  Why is it that once I move this into GG it suddenly moves back on-topic.

I just got back from playing GR on LAN at my friend's house... it is the best game ever. There can be 4 teams and 36 players. It takes a little getting used to as the smallest map is probably about the size of CLO3 Estate. The biggest being about 3 to 4 times the size of Nuclear PowerPlant. The thing that I didn't like was that running and shooting accurately wasn't really possible. Most of the time, you can crouch down to your stomach with two taps of the crouch button and get perfect accuracy or just stop and be able to pump the needed rounds into him. We MUST have a ladder for it... it owns.

Because GG posters are just that much cooler than Battle league posters.  Imagine the on-topic replies this would get in the SF section!

Anywho, I think a ladder would be great at some point.  But it would be premature to start one anytime soon.  Everyone's going to suck for a while, and we should give clans a little time to get established on the game before ranking the competition.  Maybe start a ladder a year after the release, for example?

A year is a little too long I think. I haven't even had RS for a year. Maybe it should be when clans are ready that they enter the battle league, but the battle league be set up when enough people get GR.

Yay my 100th post! Being muted gets boring soon?

1 year after the release. . .that gives people long enough to get the game and learn how to play it.

RS has been out for a year and 9 months now.  And if I remember correctly, there weren't very many RS clans around until about 9 months ago.

well, there will definitely be a GR ladder; concerning the points system for GR we will have to play the game some time, so we can think of a method to integrate GR battles into the *DAMN BattleLeague.
