Help identifying shell.

Ive just come accross 2 shells my Grandad had made into candle holders. He used to be either the driver or gunner of a Bren gun carrier, so these shells are probably from that.
OK. The bullet sections are missing from both so its just the remaining case. Near the bottom of each are the following letters & numbers
SWN.30/52.BL
The cases are approx 4.25" lonf and 1" Dia.
I have no idea but did the Bren fire .50 rounds?

I did a little research and I found that this particular round was made by the Royal Ordnance Factory in England. I am searching for what type of shell this is, but could it possibly be a Boys .55 Anti-tank rifle shell. Measure very carefully the whole shell and let me know. Be sure to measure the diameter of the top of the shell where the projectile would be.

How did you find that info out?
OK measurements.
At the base it is approx 24mmDia[0.9"]
It is this thickness for 92mm [3.6"]
It then tapers to 20mmDia [0.79"]. This also the diameter of the opening where the projectile fits.
Overall the case is 109mm [4.29"]
