the trick to RS is being smart. you learn to anticipate the common players response to every situation. just think with your brain, not you gun

Geek, that is true somtimes, however, you also have to know that there are some players that you can overpower with the gun, if someone has a 9mm pistol, and you have an M14, screw tactics, rush them.

I can't even begin to tell you how to win in RS... But there is a single piece of advice for r6. Bondo already stated it. (Play against SiXers) I will simplify it:
Put yourself at the disadvantage.

Hey, when it comes to R6, it doesn't matter who I play against, I am at a disadvantage anyway

Loth pretty much summed it up. All I can say is, use your sidearm!! There's a reason for it. If you ever get into a dance and the enemy runs out of ammo, pistol!! It's quicker than reloading and most of the time you can get 'em. If you suck with the pistol, GET BETTER!! Practice using the pistol, even if the game allows primaries. One more thing, think multiple targets. Most of the time, someone is always there to cleanup.

Don't be afraid to hold on to your pistola for a little longer, either. I've seen lots of guys die because they chose to reload their primary rather than whipping out their pistola. I've seen other guys, who didn't make that mistake, die when they killed the first guy and then saw a second guy, but chose to retreat and reload their primary. Then, the second enemy just perforated their back while they were busy. Just keep in mind, if you can't fire, you can't defend yourself.
One thing I forgot, which ejo's mention of multiple targets reminded me of: zoom your minimap out far enough to see the whole level. Getting data on enemy locations from your teammates is extremely useful, and allows you to work like a team even if you've never played with them before.
You're running around on the top floor of The Met, and you see that one of your teammates is heading up the left side of the pathway above the entrance. Then, a moment later, you see an enemy's dot on the right side. That means that your teammate is looking at the enemy, and is probably engaged in a firefight. You can swoop in to the right side of the pathway and pick the enemy off.
Nice, neat crossfire, one dead enemy and hopefully one live teammate. No bound keys, no planning, no teamwork. Just paying attention to a zoomed-out map.
The zoomed-out map is useful whenever your teammates see or detect (via HBS) an enemy. You get information for free, and can swoop in to catch the enemy unawares, or to back your teammate up, or to lay a trap.
One more thing: DON"T BLOCK STAIRS AND DOORS! If you absolutely must stand on stairs or in a doorway, stand to one side so people can squeeze by.

hmmm, when I first got on GR a long time ago, all I did was play against the good clans. I remember, Blue, esp, dos, WLA (ahahha, no), and then as time grew on, SiX, dts, SEALs, and on and on. I guess you just have to know the maps, keep moving, prefire (especially on my imac), and you can also tell how peepo play from the first few rounds. I really dun remember when I joined SiX, it was a long time ago, I miss it, I just have to dig out the old mac and hit GR again. Oh wait, n/m, I remember when I joined SiX. I was in dts and then there was some kinda merger between SiX and dts, that didn't work out, but I joined SiX not too long after that. At our prime, we owned, late night games. Me, Kor, EZ, Jammy, Meph, Roy (the non-hbs whore). It was great times. Roy and his running around blind, great laughs..he'll never use hbs..but yeah, we would also have strats, call our moves, we knew how each of our team-mates played and we could rely on each other..that's what's a great team, among other times...but yeah, anyways, have to go to work now...

One thing Lothario left out: Burst fire with automatic weapons. Any continuous firing over 3 bullets is absolutely useless unless you are perfroming the "spray n pray" techinque. After the first three leave the chamber, the rest spray everywhere over the map.

Meh that is all ok information but it is really in the diet. You must have your complex carbos and proteins to perform well in a CB or not. Gotta stick to your pastas, breads, rice, and yogurts. Stay away from the grease while playing your trigger finger could slip. Always stay hydrated by the time you feel thirsty your already dehydrated. The burgers, tacos and fast food are poison to a RS players diet and for those still in their youth greasey foods increases the chance of pimples and black heads. Those tips are ok but its all in the diet. Oh and stay away from cow products, milk is ok.

I still have my mac in the basement, it's all just a matter of bringing it upstairs and plugging it in. When I have time I will come back and visit GR, play some old school R6.
