I said this in another post but I wanted to make a central thread for this.  I'd like to meet with all the BL admins, a few vets, and the heads of the clans to discuss potential rule changes and in general just make the rules much more detailed so that they can try to prevent problems from arising.  Naturally I can't expect everyone to be able to get on at once so I'll hold a few chat sessions at different times.  Anyway, the first one will be tomorrow at 8 PM Mountain DT (2 AM at the at the Prime Meridian I believe).  I'll get on and open up an R6 game as a locked chat room and anyone who wants to join (as long as they qualify for the conversation) I'll give the password to.

I am |?K|'s Clan Leader and will be happy to discuss the matters.  You can count on me if I'm on at the time you have your chat Bondo or I will keep up with updates here on the BL forum.  I will try to be there though. |?K|*R?p!d?*

Sure, make me find my copy of R6 and install it.... HAH.

Seriously though, we may want to hold a later on in an RS room, if there are many people with only RS and not R6 (I don't know if it will be an issue or not, but all the activity on the BL is in RS now, so it's a good chance).  I'll try to be around tomorrow night (unless me and the woman go out, it being a Friday night... heh, but I'm married now, so I don't need to take her out... lol)

The reason for the R6 room is simple, I can't host a game I don't own (RS I sold it) but you can join a game you don't own, you just have to go to prefs and select it to be shown. ?Then again, I could just have someone with RS host it for me and I can discuss that before we start tonight.

BTW, yes Rapid, you are welcome to join in. ?So we seem to have 3 for the discussion, that is a start.  Would like to get at least one BL admin as well.

Not the case Bondo.  Without having R6 loaded I can't actually join the room.  I can select to see that the room is there, but I can't actually get in if I don't have the game on the computer (at least that's how it workes for me when I try to join an RS room on my laptop (which doesn't have RS on it, and I can't enter a Risk room on the G4 because I don't have Risk on it; even though I can see the rooms because I chose them in the prefs).

All that said, I'll dust off R6 since I didn't sell it and load it so I can join the room.  We'll meet up on GR and work it out I'm sure... I was just giving you some greif before... trying to lighten up the mood in here.

Hmm, well then, I thought I could enter RS rooms but maybe not.  Oh and BTW, post 700, too bad damned Cocobolo decided to post two a few days ago to get to 701.  Oh well, I'll be the first to 800.  I wonder if there is another star for 1000 posts?? Grin

ill host a RS one...as for these meetings... a rules change has to have a majority vote among the admins then we send our recommendation to Mauti. In other words, these are just opinion meetings and nothing concrete will evolve from them directly. However, all suggestions/comments are welcomed.

I understand that Sin, that is why I'm having the meetings, without it, no new rules will ever get passed without it taking a long hard time.

BTW, stupid fileplanet is making me wait another 45 min to dl the RSD. ?

I checked and no I can't get into an RS room so we can have it in either RSD or R6, but most of us have R6 right, otherwise, everyone who doesn't currently have RSD, get downloading.

Friday the 20th eh? ?Wink

Actually, I see how it can be misleading, I posted on the 18th according to what time is displayed for me so tomorrow would be the 19th, but I suppose if you were east of the mountain time zone that was the 19th I was posting on.  Sorry for the confusion, hopefully you can make it if I have another one, but first we need to see what the guys upstairs think of what we came up with.

What are you on about now Nixon?  I suppose you know I was added as an Admin.  If we do start the challange system with a thread instead of a script to start, I'll need moderator privs to be able to delete the old posts right when I post the scores.

Anyway, to talk to the point of the thread, I don't plan on having another meeting as the first was quite productive and I'll only have another if it is needed.

so the people you left out were:
-europeans
-people who didnt see this thread in time
-a LOT of clan leaders, since there are 43 on the RS ladder alone, and you can only host a room for up to 16 ppl in RSD (using R6 would have simply been elitist)

i would like indeed to recieve the chat transcript bondo, plz mail me at macman@rebels.com

When speaking of time and dates on forums like this, perhaps we should adhere to a single time zone, and translate all our times into that one, say, GMT, it is a commonly known time zone, all others are set against it in indices by eg. +8 or -4.
It would save a lot of trouble and mistakes. i realize that it is not a very regular occurance; a group of people from this board having to be online at the same time, but this has been nagging me for a while now (setting times for cb's etc.), and MacMan finally decided to speak up

Well, it wasn't anything too formal so I wasn't worried about getting everyone.  I just wanted a few people to bounce the ideas off of.  But I will send the chat transcript to you.
