My apple monitor's color is wacky . Everything is crappier looking and brighter.  ehhhh   = it seems like it's on like thousands of colors and like super bright. But it's on milliopns and really low = (

Have you tried: System Preferences > Displays > Color > Calibrate. If not do so.

have you reset the monitor to its default factory settings? probably a good idea. then calibrate the monitor.
