A missing rule?
«

It is true that if a clan does not show up for a cb, they forfeit right? (correct me if i'm wrong anywhere along the line).
Now, where is the fine line between being late and not showing? Personally, i dont feel like waiting all day for a couple of people who may or may not show up.
So what's the limit? an hour? 2 hours?
your thoughts&reactions plz.

There is no such thing as a confirmed start time so it is not a forefeit. A match is only official once it has started so something that prevents it from starting isn't covered by the rules, rather it is just unfortunate.
Depending on the format of the challange system that we are working on, then there would be a penalty for missing a CB.

if a person doesn't show up within 30 mins of leaving durring the cb. that should be a forfiet, no one wants to wait the whole day on GR and watch the drab chat in the Bar and Grill.

You miss the point jeb, the reason it isn't a forfeit is because we don't control start times. We only can penalize clans for things once the CB has started, the CB doesn't start until both sides are there. If they don't show up, you aren't required to wait, if you leave because you don't want to wait, you won't be held any more accountable than they would for not showing up on time.

I think you missed it a bit too. Jeb was referring to after the CB starts, if someone were to leave/crash. I think 30 minutes is a good length, and there definitly should be a value set, as Pat had a quick emergency during our cb vs MI6, and I had to sit and listen to them yell FORFEIT in the game room.
The only flaw i see in this is: What if someone else, who only planned 15 minutes for a cb, has to leave while waiting for someone else who crashed. Who forfeits then, or is the cb delayed or, this makes the most sense to me, canceled.
But then again, all of this could be manipulated for better and worse. Comments?

Doh! Jeb you and your funny wordings that are plain as day and thus to simple for me to read properly
.
As rule 12 states it is the responsibility of both clans to finish at the time they start so if someone has to leave permanantly the clan would be forced to forfeit. In the case of a crash, I'd say allowing for 15 min would be more than enough to see if they are getting back on. The only thing that would keep them from coming back in that time would be serious computer problems in which case it would revert back to a permanant absence and a forfeit (unless both clans agree otherwise).

I would like to know if it is permitted for the clan that has the "crashed" person, allowed to finish the CB without his teamate in representation of his clan. ?This means, that instead of taking a forfeit loss, the last member left would give it his all to fight the remaining members of the opposing clan. ?That way he could at least go out with honor. ?Of course, he wouldn't resort to this until he sees that his teamate has not come back in the expected 30 minutes. ?Just a food for thought and a point to be brought up for all to know. ?Thanks for your reading time

Not only that, but it's been known of people owning while playing by themselves vs. 2. ?Recent Example, Colin vs. Goku & Prez
? I do it all the time myself, so I know it can be done and it is an honorable thing to do rather than take a loss cuz of your teamate's misfortune
