With the *DBL 2.0 will people be able to submit their own ideas for a Ghr ladder thats based off a new gametype and mod?  Also, will this new ladder be forced to use a point system? or will we be able to come up with a new scoring system for the newly created ladder?

For example could something like this be created with *DBL 2.0, with all the custom features mentioned:

GHOST RECON 4 MAN TEAM LADDER
-Features 4 person teams.
-*DBL pack is not used.
-A newly created mappack specifically for this ladder is used.
-A specific kit restriction is used.
-Capture the Flag is the gametype with one flag in the middle.
-Team Respawn = 6
-Winner gets 3 points, loser gets 1 point.
(The person that submits this ladder idea would then provide the new mappack with gametype)

the games need to keep the number of ladders reasonable as we can't make whimsical ladders that further break down activity. It's pretty easy to find middle ground on most issues so that the unified ladder systems can continue.

Well I think its good to have a few different types of ladders for one game so people can then choose which one they prefer.

If users were allowed under the rules to agree upon modified kit restrictions and map packs, etc. then there would be no need to form a new ladder. If all the CBs count towards one goal than it's going to be a far more competitive environment.

Under the current rules clans are already able to agree to use mods and map-packs etc - you always have been whether it was to use Desert Siege, Frostbite or any of the other map-packs about.

(correct me if im wrong and its changed Mauti!)

Clans have never used different Mods or MapPacks for Cbs.  I think Island Thunder was used once in a CB but thats it.  Some people never want to use different MapPacks or Mods because they don't practice with them.  If it was enforced for a particular ladder then people would have no choice.

Or just not participate and ruin the CBs that could happen on the other ladder because 2 clans spent time CBing on the less active "map specific" ladder.

Hang on you want the Mods to introduce a new ladder with less flexability? If people don't want to play cbs with different mappacks/mods and arn't doing so in the current ladders, why would they suddenly want to sign up to another ladder to do it? -- we know from experience that too many ladders can be detremental to the league as it 'waters down' the competition which the current size and activity of the league cannot handle.
