Okay, I was comming down our driveway, going about 15MPH, Yes, I was going to fast, I come around the turn to let me out on the road, and thers my Mom's car comming up the driveway going about 10 MPH, We're only like 10 feet away, I try to stop, she tries to stop, doesn't work, I go smashing into the car, fly off of my bike, role up the windshield onto the roof, and fall into the ditch, note that in real life, this all happened much faster, 1 second I was on my bike, the next I was in the ditch. I got amazingly luckey, as all that I hit was knee, my face, my back, and my neck. Chiped my knee cap, but thats it, hurts a lot, But, had I landed slightly diffrently, I would've broken my neck, take this as a lesson, don't blindly come down driveways going 15MPH around a turn.

Yeah, and I was going 105mph today Wink

Hope you heal up though...people in these forums need to stop doing risky things...what with SK jumping fires, you crashing into cars on your bike, and alas Grifter racing his motorcycle.

Back to my 105mph though...my previous high was 100 out in the middle of nowhere I-25 north of Denver, this time I got 105 on I-25 right in Colorado Springs...and this time I didn't even realize it, there just happened to be no one in front of me so I went fast.

I once hit 110 in a rented Oldsmobile Alero. I could have gone faster, but there was a red light a mile away, so it was time to decelerate. ::grin::

Typhy, you didnt chip your knee cap...if you did, you would be in excruciating pain and would be in the hospital right now. I know this for a fact because I took a 90mph fastball in the knee and it chipped the cap.

Point is: You cant diagnose a chipped knee cap without x-rays and possibly a mri.

As for speeds: 140mph in a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville with a supercharged engine (nearly 400 horsies there) going down the 101 freeway between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara at night. (I love long flat straightaways - could have gone faster, but probably would have lost control of the car.)

Yes, but I'm driving a 4 cylinder Subaru Wagon with about 150 hp.  I figure if I was truly on a empty streach I could get it to 125, but that would be about it, doesn't have much more.  But I was doing this 105 midday in a 55 speed limit zone of the interstate.

Bah!  Doing 100mph on a freeway is everyday driving for me in L.A.  I wubs my Jetta!

I do make sure it's safe though as far as traffic around me Wink (Going fast is never safe and I don't recommend it to anyone).  I have already crashed one Jetta that went THRU a wall as I was racing one night pushing my car a bit too much.  Never will do that again on unfamiliar territory!  I totalled my car, but my stress bar(a sporty bar that goes acrross your engine attached off your struts giving you handling when you take turns), saved my whole engine and provided protection from the impact.  Glad was looking after me. Assassin, I much prefer highway 5 to 101. I got up to 120 one time in my Mazda. Of course, you need to go 90 on that road in order to not get passed by truckers.

a) Rapid, you rarely can get to 100 on the freeways around L.A. The odds are that you will hit traffic or get your ass snagged by the CHP.

b) Ace, I too prefer the 5 to the 101, but the 5 doesnt go to San Luis Obispo.

No Sin, thats true, it's a not a chip out of the bone, just out of the skin. I didn't mean to say Cap, just knee, You got a 90 in the knee? I took about a 60 in the elbow and I was in extreme pain and wasn't able to even finish the game.

Bah, Viper a real car?

The only real car is the Subaru Impreza WRX...it can actually handle snow and gravel but is also extremely powerful and fast.  If you took the Viper on a rally it would be destroyed on the first or second turn.

147mph in a E36 BMW M3
150mph in a 89' Ford torus SHO (shocking) its a supercharged v6.
ohter cars that have been speed tested are as followed
91' Integra, hit 155mph after it was stolden from my house, and involved in a police chase.
01' Accord, car wobbles at 100mph, i don't have the balls to bring it higher
94' Explorer, 95mph (heavy peice of shit)
1980 Dodge custom pickup truck, 75mph
69' pontiac with a 454cu, 110mph
02' Impreza, 110mph

And one of the most shocking things ever

1970 VW beetle my uncle was driving was pulled over at the bottom of a long hill for traveling at 130mph. The cops radar said he was going 130, the speedometer stops at 75mph.

Most these tests were conducted on the I-90 floating bridge in seattle.

Bah, way not to push the car to actually see how fast it can go.  If I can get my 4 cylinder wagon going 110, I'm pretty sure the turbo charged Impreza WRX can go 150 if you had the space.
