mod installation help
«
on:
July 14, 2001, 11:27:39 pm »
I installed the mods and they show up on the "options" menu but I am unable to disable the defaults. The rollover message appears but I can't check the box. Whats wrong?
Thanks!

Well the checkboxes only appear if the mod comes along with new items, weapons or additional uniforms!
So if you install a for example a map mod you can't check the boxes.
Have a nice day,
Mauti

Sure CS2 is downloadable on the website. Well about your problems which install do you have? Minimum; standard, full? I have never experienced such problems, hmmm do you have installed RS twice on your system?

Nope. I have Full install (as you reccomend!) and I only have it installed once, on my main HardDrive.
Please (try to) help!!

Sorry Romulus but I don't have any clues yet except to delete the prefs. That often helps but - no guarantee!

Well. So what happens if you just select the mod and activate it? E.g. in WW2 main screen should change anyway.(activate WW2, then go to main menu -> custom missions and back to the main menu -> Now you should see a new backgroundgraphic. Do you see this? If not you have probably the wrong folder in your mods folder. -> Open your mods directory and open the WW2 / Dreneks French Weapons folder! What do you see inside? Do you see a model folder,modcontents.txt,... if yes I don't have any ideas if you don't see it you probably see another folder with the mod name. Put this folder "X" outside in your moddirectory and delete the folder where you put "X" out. Now start Urban Operations and select the mod and now the checkboxes should be clickable!
Bye,
Mauti

I figured it out between my last post and now. I had placed the entire expanded archive (which has a similar label to the actual mod folder) TOO MANY FOLDERS!! I removed the outer one and the readme file and now it works. I admit, that was a pretty dumb oversight! Thanks!
