Help, Mod Lag

? ? ? ? I've had problems ever since I downloaded some mods when I open RS it's really laggy and I can't fix it. ?What do I do?

Hi,

well when you start direct RS UO it always checks the whole modfolder for mods and this can need up to 5 minutes when you have e.g. all avaible mods for RS in the modfolder. So the easiest way to prevent this is to create a modsunactive folder in the Rogue Spear Data directory where you put all mods in  that you doesn't use. Now RS should start faster again!

Mauti - i have a Cable 1.5MB connection, but it acts like a 56k when i host in RS! i had great speed until i found MODs... can you advise me

Sorry no idea how to improve this!   I don't have any probs with hosting mods my 36k cable speed is still the same.

hmmm.... could it be large (file size) textures? that could slow down games alot.
