U.S. Navy Vice Admiral James Stockdale died at his home yesterday, July 5, 2005.  He was a real American hero who endured years of torture as a Prisoner of War of North Vietnam, was a Medal of Honor recipient, and ran for Vice President under Ross Perot in 1992.
