Well, Itsy gave it three thumbs up...(wtdoublefuck?) is he counting evill's thumb too perhaps?
Ask him his impressions--he got to see it a day before it came out here in the states..
He said the music score at the end almost made him weep--I called him EMO--he called me an asshole.

Robin Quivers from Stern says its great..much improved from the others..
Local reviewers are being very kind..also saying much more dramatic and complete with less dead space.

Im Hearing that Yoda gets wayyy too many lines considering being the smartest guru in the universe that hasnt yet masted the syntax of the english language, and hence becomes somewhat annoying...which i would venture a guess SHOULD be easier than wielding a lightsaber, using force push, jedi mind tricks and other jedi madness.

A buddy of mine who, like me was completely sickened and dismayed at the lack of heart of the other two, says it will be worth my wait, and will make me happy again...although he mentions that they go a bit too far into the trade/political aspects of the confict than an action film needs...

I went and saw it Wednesday Night/Thursday Morning at 12:05 am.  That was the first showing here, and it was sold out on all 6 screens at that theater.  I thought it was really great, better than the last two.  Probably on par with The Empire Strikes Back, which is generally considered the best of the original 3.  I've been to opening day of all 6 Star Wars Movies.  Star Wars was actually the first movie I ever saw, at a drive-in when I was 4 years old (that was May 25, 1977), so now that 28-year tradition in my life is over.  Kinda sad.  lol

I thought it was fantastic as well. And yeah, the one thing that gets annoying is Yoda's many lines...But it's easy to look past that. Painful to hear, though. Grin But dude. It is so freakin' good. My god. So so so so good. If I wasn't such a manly man, I would have shed a tear towards the end. Especially when Yoda and Obi-Wan are talking towards the end and yeah...no spoilers so okay.  Smiley

Oh dont worry Brutha.  Somehow, he will find a way to make things worse.  There is -always- a way. 

I personally havent seen Ep3 yet, probably wont for a while since the local theater is a hell of a long ways awway, and I've never been much one to go out and see movies, especially ones which until reading the responses on this forum, I thought would suck.

I agree with all so far... good movie but yoda had too many damn lines for a muppet. (well i guess its all digital now so he aint a muppet anymorre but..) Also the acting and dialogue seemed to be on par of the prior two movies but the action and storyline was enough to make up for it. It was definately a darker movie than eps 1 & 2 showing the downfall of Anakin to the dark side. Also if anyone followed the "clone wars" animated series on cable, it sticks to the storyline started there pretty closely.

the only bad part I recall from the movie is when that group of jedi just get stabbed and killed... basically without a fight... really made no sense. but other than that it was pretty good.
