wondering if anyone has experience better game play or worse and/or if you expereinced any probs/benefits with using yer mac in general in either the OS or 3rd party apps?

Better than the usually decline BFG. I think they are doing this on purpose to make us buy tiger for coreimage.

i installed 10.3.8 yesterday, and it put me thru hell.  There seems to be alot of problems people are experiencing.

I had a joystick controller driver on my system that didn't agree with the new update, and for some reason it was hogging all the processor power.  My G5 was acting like a very sick g3.  Fortunatly there was someone else in my position before me and they figured out the issue and reported it on the apple discussion forums for me to read and fix the porblem without bashing my head thru my LCD display.wallbashing

MacFixIt.com is a website that is cataloging all the problems that people are having with 10.3.8.  It helped me greatly.  Have a read thru it and see if you have a similar system or issue.

Well.. In the info for10.3.8 it said it was supposed to fix the sporatic fan issues that some G5's were having.. I naver had those b4.. well.. now i do... My fans in my g5 "Take Off" every sooften for no reason.. and also do it when ever i ope n a new app

If you go to your "Energy Saver" system panel and click on the "Options" and change the "Processor Performance" top "Highest". This is supposed to fix the problem.

I experienced soundproblems in RavenShield after installing the new Update.
Exaple: when teammates fire I dont hear the firing sound anymore, only a "click".
This happens when the firing is behind me or next to me. Infront is no problem.

I just reinstalled the update ( with comboupdate ) in hope that it repairs itself again.
This problem I only realized in RvS. So far no other problems.
RVS seems to run much better.
