Well Lothario, you are quite right. A map is not the terrain, but still is a symbol for the terrain. A photo is not a person, but a symbol of that person. A flag, loth, is not the country but is a symbol. And incase you havent noticed, symbols create feelings too. And flags are for some the most holy symbol of a country. There are laws on how to handle a flag...Why do you think that is?

And George...just because I know how to kill a person dosnt mean I am going to. I might describe how to rape a person, guess what...dosnt mean I'm going to.

Now GS, why would you waste so much money on the acid like they state.  You should of come to me first.  Didn't you know you can immerse a body in regular store bought Coca Cola and get the same results in a day or 2.  Shit, after a day even most of the bone is rotted away, just depends if you cut up the body first.

hrm....no questions please

Mission Statement of the Paul Revere Society, taken from Michael Savage's website and translated from political-speak:

1. We hate fags.
2. We hate Mexicans.
3. We REALLY hate Mexicans.
4. Did we mention we hate those fuckin' beaners?
5. We're afraid of the SARS.
6. We're rich.
7. We hate niggers too.
8. We own companies and want the legal right to cut as many corners as we want.

1.  We don't HATE homosexuals.  I don't think they should be allowed marriage rights, however.
2.  We don't hate Mexicans.  We simply don't think they should be able to freely enter this country illegally.
3.  We don't REALLY hate Mexicans.  We believe that when they do come to this country, they should be required to learn English.
4.  Do not be a racist and use language like that in front of me.  I find it very offensive.
5.  SARS?
6.  What's wrong with being rich?
7.  Again, don't use racist language around me.  That is very offensive to me.
8.  We do not want to cut corners.  But at the same time, over-regulation by the government is a bad thing that hinders economic growth.

And now a similar translation from GS-speak, addressed to the object parties:

7.  Again, don't use racist language around me.  That is very offensive to me.
8.  We do not want to cut corners.  But at the same time, over-regulation by the government is a bad thing that hinders economic growth.

1.  I don't hate you - I just don't think you deserve the same rights I have and I resent your existence.
2.  I don't hate you - I just think that because you weren't born under the same circumstances as I was, you shouldn't have access to my country if I and my government don't say so.
3.  I don't really hate you - I just don't think you deserve the same opportunities as people of my ethnicity and background.  Oh and your culture isn't as valuable as mine if you live in the United States <LoudNotes' sarcasm>because English is the official language of the US, right?</sarcasm>
4.  I'm too weak to acknowledge my own prejudices, so I try to hide them in politically correct language.
5.  I'm not afraid of SARS the disease, I just hate Chinese people.
6.  If you're poor, it's your own damn fault.
7.  Again, I hate black people but I can't acknowledge it to myself.
8.  I hate government.

Now my take:

English is not required in the United States - it is helpful and immigrants would probably find it in their best interests to learn, but there is no legal or otherwise obligation to learn it.  People born in the United States are such because of luck, and we don't have any innate superiority.  Limiting immigration will inevitably prevent some people from getting to move here.  If they are still so determined that they come illegally, they are going to be more appreciative of this country than most of its citizens, and deserve to stay.

Why do you find racial slurs any more offensive than your own prejudices, couched in friendlier terms?

SARS is the Asian disease Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome.  The Paul Revere Society appears to be strongly xenophobic, and the Chinese in particular exemplify a dual enemy - they're different and they're Communist.  ::shudder::  Do you realize the positions of this group are vestiges of political ideology that's been discredited for 50-150 years?  Anti-immigration was big in the 19th century, and red-baiting hasn't exactly been in vogue of late.

Nothing wrong with being rich, but flaunting it and showing no regard for those less fortunate is wrong.

Government regulation of business is entirely intentional.  The most efficient means of production is always the unregulated - producers would naturally use the most efficient means without being prompted by the government.  Thus all regulations are designed with the knowledge that they will inhibit growth.  Generally that's a good thing that ensures that all cars come with seatbelts, for example.
