     Civic, this is true, but I'd bet that Apple's got something up their sleeves, like a portable Airport Express for video, or base-station-plug-to-S-Video cables, or maybe something like this.

Loth they wouldn't use S-video, they would use Component video. That plus fibre optics would be as good as my current DVD set up.

I wouldn't pay for music videos to put on the iPod anyway, not when I watch them for free on MTV or iTunes.

Crypt is very right, not many people will pay for music videos when they are free. Maybe if they sold those DVD things of live concerts and greatest hits stuff. People may go for that.

Apple would be trying to go too far if they did even color screens, perhaps the only real reason you would need a color screen is for a mini visualizer version like in iTunes. That would be neat.

guys... you're all forgeting that the hard drive spins too slow for DVD quality data to be transfered properly.  I'ts only 4200 rpm.  Minimum for video playback is 5400. So, it's never gonna happen as far as the ipod is concerned.


TO be able to DL movies from ITMS, that would be way cool though.
