nj Nomad. Beat me to it, although to be fair, we were all right to an extent. The official blurb is:

"On the Ml6A2, the handguards are round and ridged , making them stronger and easier to ?grip. ?The ?handguards ?are ?interchangeable; ?the handguard retaining ring is also specially contoured and easier ?to ?grip"

Your answer to number 9, the upper-lower sections are identical and interchangable. Prior to this they were 2 different pieces and not interchangable.
So, the complete list.
1.  M136 AT4 Anti-Tank Weapon.
2.  Austrian Army
3.  Douglas MacArthur
4.  Arthur MacArthur, Douglas MacArthur.Theodore Roosevelt Sr.,Theodore Roosevelt Jr
5.  Ford Taurus
6.  X-15 (I thought it could be space shuttle, but you say no. Space shuttle is just gliding, its not powered flight)
7.  JFK Center for Special Warfare
8.  52,000 psi
9.  upper/lower grip identical and interchangable
10.  BFG

Nomad gets the win!  And extra credit for picking BFG!!!  (although for me it would be a toss-up between him and Typhy).  Nomad, pm me with your GameRanger ID so I can get you your Premium.

Also, since nobody could get the bonus, here it is:

Mattel Toy Company.  Isn't that funny?

9.  What is special about the plastic hand-grips on the M-16A2 versus the ones that were on the M-16A1?
Redesigned for better grip and increased durability. Ribbed and round instead of smooth and triangular. Composed of two identical halves.

Yes, but the answer was that they are interchangable, which is what makes the M-16A1 grips different than the M-16A2 grips.  That was one of the main reasons the Army wanted them changed, cause out on the battlefield, it made things just that much more difficult if you needed to swap pieces if they are all the not the same.

Besides, your answer for #3 and #5 were wrong anyway.

Actually, you couldn't have played because you are a previous winner....that was a footnote rule for this quiz.

6.  X-15....sorry Bucc, but the 4 forces of flight are: Thrust, Drag, Lift, and Gravity.  That is by the very definition of flight.  So as the Space Shuttle does not have Thrust, it can not be said to be flying while in the atmosphere, merely falling under controlled conditions.

Given your definition of flight, I'd accept re-entry as not being applicable, but not launch.  Since you agree it has the others, and is only missing thrust.  Now, any bets as to the velocity of the Space Shuttle while still in the atmosphere on it's way up being the fastest?

BTW, I also disagree with your definition, since I do think that you "fly" a glider.

One last thing, unless things changed, which they may well could have, there were four vehicles being discontinued after 2004.  Taurus, LTD Crown Vic, Thunderbird would all be considered mainstays of the Ford community.  Thunderbird is eliminated because I know it's not a fleet vehicle.  Taurus and Crown Vic's both are.  So, I'm guessing that the Crown Vic ended up getting renewed for general sales 2005 now??

Nope, launch doesn't work either.....at launch the Space Shuttle is basically just a missile....it is not using lift to achieve flight, only thrust.  The wings are not being used to provide any lift at launch.  You can't win here....you are an automotive engineer.....and I was an aerospace science major before I began my quest for history (plus being a pilot myself helps).  lol

Yes, the Crown Vic as of right now has been slated for 2005 production.  But who knows if that will stick....lol

Yes!  Actually, I've never been very good at math.  That is why after my first year at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, I dropped Aerospace Science and decided to go with History instead (had a far lower expectation of my math skills!).

Some other things GhostSniper can't do:

1.  Although I scored "hawk-eye" (40 out of 40 hits) with the M-16 three times in the Army, I never could do the same thing with the M-4 (a slightly shorter version of the M-16).  The best I ever fired with the M-4 was 39 out of 40, which still made me an expert marksman, but never failed to piss me off.

2.  I can't wiggle my ears.  I swear, as hard as I try, I just can't do it.

3.  I can't sell 200 cars in one month.  My current record is 197 in a month.  I just can't do it....I don't know why.  After the 197 month, my next best was 188.  I just don't understand.

4.  I can't kill Typhy.  As much as I may want to, something deep down inside tells me that this is just wrong and I shouldn't do it.  But I'm not sure yet if that would stop me from beating the living shit out of him on his 18th Birthday.  Only time will tell.

5.  I can't pull 7 G's without blacking out (without a G-suit).  I've tried, but I just can't do it.  7 is just my max.

6.  I can't play in Season VIII as a member of the BattleTek Squad.  As much as I would enjoy the carnage, I just can't do it.  It's a conspiracy I tell you!  And Lee Harvey Ozwald did NOT shoot President Kennedy!!!

7.  I can't vote for John F'ing Kerry for President.  I don't know why, but I just feel that if I did my f'ing heart would explode and kill me.

8.  I can't get a Cessna 337 to land in less than 500 feet.  Other people have done it, but I just can't.

9.  I can't run a mile in under 4 minutes.  Even when I was a Ranger in the Army my personal best was still a bit over 5 minutes.

10.  I can't get Alaric to stop annoying me in these forums.  I've tried being his friend.  I've tried getting Typhy to suck his dick.  Nothing seems to work.  Oh well, I just can't do it.

I'm sure there are other things I can't do, but that is all I can think of right now.
