Gameranger Problems

Okay, I recently purchased Ghost Recon: Desert Siege at Macworld. I've dowloaded the 1.0.3 update and installed it. But GR still won't allow me to host or join games, saying I don't have the update. So what gives? Any ideas? I'd really aprreciate the help.

Do you have installed the 1.0.1 or 1.0.2(you can upgrade to 1.0.3. directly from 1.0.1) update before you applied the 1.0.3 patch?

I have never heard of those mods, would you please be able to link some sites where I could download them?

Ok, I would reinstall ghost recon then make sure you follow these updates step by step. And remember, always read threw everything first. Good Luck. http://www.aspyr.com/games.php/mac/grds/

Another helpful note is that when you install update 1.0.2 make sure that when you update to 1.0.3 that you update the original Ghr application file and not the updated one.  I am sure you would have probably figured that our since it wont let ya update the 1.0.2 one.  Strange how that is.  In any event GR will recognise the right file and voila!.  

Woah, I think I feel dumber for just explaining that.  Anyway, have fun.  Although you might want to try playing some other games besides Ghr cause Ghr has already had it's hayday as far as competitions are concerned.  but who knows.
