It looks like Spear and DAMN made a big oopsie with the Black Thorn Mod. It appears Kevill wants a piece of the action. A good nipple twist and nut crunch can fix that.......(ooops...will i be banned from gr??) GASP

Scott Kevill does not want to be paid for people using warez.

He wants people to NOT use them and to not port them in the first place.

It is also clearly against the wishes of Ubisoft for Mac users to get their hands on BT and CovertOps..

I know neither Mauti or DAMN endorses the illegal downloading of copyrighted software.  What the mod allows is for you to play Black Thorn on your Mac after purchasing the PC title.  While it works for those people who want to go about things the wrong way, it wasn't intended to be so.

Well Spear or DAMN  should have made that clear that you should purchase the pc title before downloading......Im sure many thought it was just as innocent as the covert ops essentials mod (available for download w/o permission). I guess it's time to stick to those home made mods and maps and not worry about the big corporate jumble.

last time i looked, only the Black Thorn Demo mod is downloadable - so why are you talking about *DAMN making a mistake by converting CovertOps and Black Thorn?

Eland, last time I checked, demos belonged to the company that makes the game. The same copyright restrictions apply with regards to porting them.
