we were once all newbies....and...

one could argue the point that on every thread the moderators and those who have been here for a while countlessly babble about something they no nothing about. Using big words  that they proabably don't even know what they mean. How many of u use "pre-emptive" in a normal conversation with your friends? or even "babble" or better yet "ignorance"....lol

But enough of that...i remember  when i used to write garbage on here...I think that happens with everyone when they start on the forums cause they are excited, but after finding out how boring this place really is, they dull down just like all of us have...hahaha

My dear little spazzy, maybe you should think before you post.  I'd be more then happy to argue how people that play the BT mod on Macintosh's are NOT PIRATES.  The BT demo is a free demo, and porting it to the mac may be questionable, but not pirating.  And if I own BT for the pc, then modding it for a mac is also not pirating.

On the ethical side of things: Playing BT on a mac is not taking one dime out of the pockets of those game developers, since they are not selling it to us anyway.  In this way, it's just like how Canadians can NOT pirate satellite TV, because the courts have ruled that since Direct TV does not offer it's services for sale in Canada, that hacking that signal down is not piriting or stealing (since they chose not to extend the service, and there is no loss in revenue).

So, if Ubisoft wants to make an issue of it, that's for Ubisoft to do.  Saying that anyone that uses the BT demo mod is a pirate is like saying anyone that even speaks about hotline is a pirate (which also seem to be Evils' standards).

The one thing I can agree with is that yes, you are a pitiful hormonal teenager.

they aren't jsut playing a ported demo grifter. they have a full version. that is piracy. weather or not ubisoft plans on porting these mods to mac is inconsiquential. also, even if u have bt for pc, i belive it would be piracy for u to play it on mac. i dunno though. it seems shady. like if someone has r6 or rs for pc, can they just dl it for mac? is that legal? i don't think so. maybe wrath can help me out, he is knowledgeable about such things. oh wait, so ur saying if everyone has bt for pc, and ports it themselves, it's not piracy? maybe. i duuno. still seems wrong.

As the product BT is not available for Mac, those who mod their purchased copies to play on Mac are not pirates.  You are entitled to use the software you buy in anyway you wish personally.  It's called fair use.  So no, people who play BT are not necessarily pirates.  Only if they don't own the product do they fall into that category.  Also the BT Demo is in no way pirateable as it is free and thus free to use.  About your R6/RS hypothetical, as it is available for Mac, you must buy it for mac to play it on Mac.

First, you know nothing for a "fact" when it comes to which games I own, or that of many of my clan mates.  you have an opinion.  A wrong opinion.

I don't even have the full BT mod for the mac, just the demo.  And, wow, what's this, I do own the full PC version of BT!  But how can that be, little spazzy says that I don't, so he must be right.  

Unless you've been to the homes of each of us, I don't think you know what we own and what we don't.  

As for being pirates the day that BT is released for the Mac... only if someone plays it then without buying it.

Also, you jump on SWAT for a mod that I haven't played in months.  If you have a beef with a player in SWAT, then call them out.  I try not to judge all the SIX by you (which is good for them).  SWAT didn't create this mod, why single us out?  Maybe because you are the pitiful hormonal teenager of which you spoke.

And plus who buys things anymore???...my Hard drive is basically stolen and I am proud of it. Would u go out and spend 600 bucks on Photoshop, when your friend is offering it to you??...i think not...

And spaz, if u download Mp3's, which u prabably do, your a hipocrite because your stealing just like we are, maybe not programs, but u are stealing LISENCED merchendise...and that merchendise probably has a larger $$$ ?value then what we are stealing, so u can't argue this point, because of your hipocracy.

Dest, if companies price things right I think it is wrong to steal from them and in no way victimless.  On the other hand $18 for a CD or triple digit prices on software is absurd.  Take office for example.  All it is is an average word processor, spreadsheet maker, presentation bit, and an e-mail program.  All of which Apple give an almost equal version for free, but Microsoft charges hundreds of dollars for it.  But I will always pay for a game as $40 is an acceptable price.

My guess is that any of you who are calling other people pirates are all a bunch of flaming hypocrites. I would wager some damn good money that everyone here has some software or mp3's they don't have the license for. I'll admit that I technically am a pirate for having Word 2001. (Well, I''m not a pirate anymore as my dad installed Office X on his computer, so you could say he gave me Office 2001.) You guys who try to justify it by saying they charge too much money for their products are just as bad. They do all the work to make their programs or music, and they can sell it for however much they wish. If you have such a big problem with it, DON'T BUY IT.

As for the BT issue, I'm just happy I'm not around for that and don't have to deal with it. (Translation: I have no clue what I'm talking about, so I'm going to shut up)
