RS Apprieciation & Hosting 101

I've noticed a strange intolerence of lettting a host do as he wishes on Game Ranger.  Why not let a host show you what he likes about Rogue Spear, try something new, either that or leave?  I understand there are bounderies a host shouldnt cross (uniforms uneven or unfair,etc) but setting things at his or her pref I think is normal.  Im alittle tired of seeing people bark orders at a host so that they can play the game how they want it.  Enough of the my way or highway attitude from the joiners.  

A personal note too.  Its a shame more people dont host games that use different rules (stronghold,save base,assisination,etc).  These games add a whole new level of play to the game (requiring thought, oh my).  I don't know about you, but day after day of CSL team survival gets old quick.  I want to spread the germ of people hosting varied games, do a real online mission and dont let people tell you it can't be done cuz some idiot refuses to cooperate.  Host modded games even tho people say they lag to much.  Let the host set some restrictions, set different rules, try something on a whim, after all,,,there is a whole game out there to be explored,,,,,,,try it!!!!!

Couldn't agree with you more man.  Just to let you know, Matt and I both hear the bitching too, both of us do host Stronghold and Assisination games and mix it up.  So feel free to jump into our games for something different.

Even when playing team survival, I try hard to play most of the maps every time I host.  But you are right, some guys only like CSL, Met and Chalet.  Go anywhere else, and they bitch like a bunch of old women.

I hear ya.....I know exactly what you're talking about with the pushy players trying to get the game set the way they want it. What pisses me off is that when a host is ready to start someone yells wait and asks for a different map or banning guns....JUST PLAY THE GAME.....and as for the variety of mp games....people should definitely try it more....I was recently playing defend with +-KoS-+ Mr. Lothario and it was GREAT. Terrorists would rush your position in huge waves. Sigh....maybe one day I'll join the hosting elite, but for now Im stuck with my pos firewall. When I do host, I'll make sure it has variety.

You want bitching, I'm the founder of the anti-testicle knock in RS foundation.  Stupid having your gun move just because a stupid bullet punctured your stupid head.  How am I supposed to aim.  Bah, forget it, my main complaint to RS hosts is that they are playing RS a vastly inferior game.  When it comes to R6 though, I'm game.  Yes, Bondo is now in season.

It was probably the mention of Bondo's ass that attracted him...  Not that there's anything special about Bondo's ass... except for that "Over 20 Million Served" tattoo he has there.  Guess Spazzy figured it would be a sure thing.

Just my two cents -

It's become impossible to keep a game going in R6 if you host with modded maps, which I like to do.  Why do people think I use the pseudonym "modman"?!

It's really annoying when people are more interested in playing the exact same starts and maps repetitively until it becomes boring than they are in watching hostages get run over by cars (in several modded maps)

I fail to understand this mentality....

By the way, FMJ maps are by far the coolest I've ever played in r6....try some if you ever play anything other than RS.

Well well, I won't mention that it is Ewan not Ian MacGreggor.  BTW, I'm like 1/32nd Scot of the MacClaine clan.  Unfortunately I didn't get the kilt I asked for for Christmas, only a Gamecube (as if I could game without a kilt).

Yeah, the two sides of my heritage fight with each other. ?Bing 1/4 Cherokee and the rest Scott (with a tiny bit of Welch and English mixed in).. it makes me want to sit crossed leged while wearing a kilt (not a good combination.... trust me).

I spelled it with Mac, not Mc and the two G's on purpose guys.... because usually, my little SPAZ, Mc is Irish (like Ass, er, Ace) and Mac is the proper Scott spelling.  Seems like nothing gets by you my dear little spaz.

Well, about you putting a smile so I'd know it was a joke, I don't see it..  Either way, I was just joking around about it anyway.  About the post where I said a moderator should delete that, it was deleted and actually I think the post didn't deserve to be deleted other than the fact that I said it would.  Now stop hassling me about my post count, I don't have spam posts in any forum ask a DAMN if you want confirmation about that from our private forum.  Now stop accusing me, what is this the DAMN Inquisition
