Ok, so on the flatpanel iMacs, you can upgrade one memory slot, and put in an airport card. That's it.

What I want to know is if there are ANY alternatives to upgrading stuff like your processor, video card, etc. For example, can you send your computer to apple and have them do it? Any ideas? I'm sick of 4-15 FPS in AA, and generally under 30 fps in GhR.  Sad

You could send it to eBay, then send Apple 3,000 bucks, and I'm sure your framerates would improve.

There are processor upgrades for older iMacs, to bring them to G4's and faster MHz.  But only the very first 233MHz iMacs can upgrade their video cards from what I've read.  Which means it will stuck suck like a $5 whore.

iMacs were not meant to be upgraded.  If you can't really afford a new mac, sell the iMac and buy a used G3 or G4 tower, which you can upgrade the video card as well as the processor.

Darn.

I guess I'll sell my old G3, and in a few months or whatever, this G4, then add some cash, and get a g5 on Ebay! mmmm. G5.

Soldering iron's work, but if you mess up a little, kiss your computer goodbye.
