camping vs assualt game? wtf..camping owns

I was already in a bad mood today...then i joined sex muffin ravens game...

Well there we were, a motley crew i must say!  Pat and I were on the same team.  No one was camping and, I was doing very good considering i have been in a slump this week, in 10 games got mostly 2 kill games and a few 1 kill..but never died without a kill first.  So Pat, who had no kills everygame, jumps all over my back and starts calling me a camper when i never camped!  Bull shit, whatever happened to "nice job"?  Even typhy told me "nice shot jackal"!

In light of this i began, with the help of my best bud foxy, to camp like a fiend just to piss him off.  And i was still getting at least a kill or causing havock..we were sexin it! So after several minutes a bitching, Foxy said "lets play campers vs"  

A REVELATION!

So we decide gold will be campers and blue will be the assualters...or those against camping.  It was some good fun i must say.  We all know the campers were winning out almost everytime or the game was aborted because they couldnt find us. As I expected would happen, they got sick of it and wanted to stop hunting us...bah...

Which brings me to a touchy topic to some...CAMPING!

I think camping is great! Foxy and I love to camp a room with skill and grace.  We have been known to lay down..SA hbs, SA jammers, a c4 each, and have spots where we can gun down anyone in a heatbeat the minute they walk in.  Yet, man find campin to be offensive and "making the game stupid"..I THINK NOT!


I noticed those that hate camping either 1.) suck at it, 2.) always get caught running into the "trap", or 3.) Just can adapt.

Everyone talks about realism, in real life do you run and gun in there without being carefull to make sure no one is sitting in a corner waiting to gun you down?  I doubt it.  All you assualters just dont wanna deal with the so called bull shit.  I know if im playing against foxy, that i always check low when im running to make sure i dont run into a c4 or something...maybe you should take the time too?

If i get killed cause of a camper, I usually dont get mad. "hey i should have been sharper" "kept an eye out" are some of the things i tell myself.  So all im saying is..if you ban camping..ban the pdw and tight reticule weapons and i wont care about the loss of my beloved camping.  But dont hate the player...dont hate the c4..hate yourself for not being carefull enough.  Hell, I've seen NH toos nades to blow me c4..then steam roll right up my ass for the kill. And he has never once complained to me about campers...

I bring this up again because it still seems to be a major issue for some. Sorry to bore you..i really dont know where this post is going..i only slept 3 hours...

Some people hate camping because it drags the game on.  A lot of people have little time to play, and when they do happen to play, they don't want to play "Hide and go Seek".  Only because it drags the game on, causing those players to play less games than they would if they were playing vs non campers.  I love fast action, but have no problem slowing down to catch those campers  But I know there's times when I'm on the run, and I want to play in games that don't take forever so I can be involved in more good intense action.   I know there's gotta be others like me.    All in all, you can only bitch about it if you're the host.  If you're the host and you don't want camping, then you can bitch.  Everybody else, can find another game or adapt to the camping going on.  Yeah it sucks, but that's why you have the freedom to join another game.  Hell, it's practice for CB's, where EVERYTHING goes!

And people can't find us because they don't have the ingenuity to find where we hide,the patience like jackal and I, or the attention span to stick with it. And most of the time we don't even use HBS jammers or w.e, just find us damnit. And be careful with an open eye....

Everyone has camped at least once in their RS careers, and obviously everyone has been picked off once or twice by a camper. Its fun to camp, not fun to be camped. No one likes dying from a shooter which they never even saw. But i personally think theres a time and place for camping. Like if youre out numbered, or the people on the other team are better players. Its kind of noobish to do it for no reason. I also think people get BSed more when some on rushes you and luckily gets a shot to the head. In conclusion,  if its the right time to camp... as a STRATEGIC and TACTICAL way of beating an intimedating opponent, do it, if not... rush their asses and have fun humping.

Ok Foxy, get off your high Donkey(he couldn't afford a horse )   You're not that good of a camper, and I have no problem taking you campers out.  (Today they were camping 5 deep, and I managed to get 3 of em np ).  

"Little time to play" means not a lot of time to play.  There's times I personally, have logged on to play for about 20 minutes before I goto work or school or wherever, and found myself looking for nice fun fast intense action.  You won't find that in a game of campers.  Easy as that.  You also won't find much action in the 20 minutes if you join a game of campers.  What? maybe 2-4 games in that 20 minutes according to how bad the camping is?  Yeah, point proven.

I personally find RS the funnest with a group of assaulters going at each other's throat.  That's good intense action.  Everything else is just a game.

lol, 3, that sure wasn't me. I remeber when I c4'd pal, and then you shot jackal, so I run down and shove my 3round burst G36k in your face against your pdw. I guess that was No Problem for me either. I like play RS in phases, just seems that I'm enjoying camping right now. Its an art, respect it. But people are having trouble doing that right, same with people respecting your "tagging". It's a two way street Rapid.

Spike, me saying "GOLD will never find us" was a trap for you to fall for, and you fell right for it.  Too bad that when your team found us, one of our newbie teamates panicked and dropped a nade and TK'ed 3 of us.  (I hate having rookie ass players in my team, and this is why!) Had you checked out the stats, you would've seen that I got TK'ed by MechSoldier.  

I had time to deal with you guys, so we camped you right back.  Again, too bad about our newbie teamate  TK'ed us early on.  Then it just became boring to watch pal try and camp the rest of you, so I left.  Not as if any of you fools killed me in that game when I left.  Too bad the newbies couldn't find their own freaking spot...  But that's not anybody's fault but theirs.  Had I had a good camping team(like you guys claim you had), you wouldn't have won 1 game.  End of story.  Anytime you want to CB us, try us.

Oh, and I got 3 of the 5 Campers on the game previous to that.  You and foxy were the 2 left alive out of the 5.  Duh! Of course you "seem to remember jackal and yourself assualting me".  You were the only 2 campers left!

I would have to agree with rapid about the noobs though, Sano..was the reason we lost 4 games today.
Foxy and I have a system of covering and such..and Sano was in the fucking way the whole time. Resulting in foxy dieng twice and me jumping in the way of a bullet to keep them both alive.

I speak as someone who hates campers, as well as anything else that changes the game in, what is, in my opinion, a negative way.

I hate mods, campers, glitchers, modded maps, and people who throw 6 grenades at one spot.

"Cheapness", in my opinion, is playing the game in such a way, that if all players did the same thing, the game wouldn't work.

Campers need us rushers. Your camp won't work unless there is someone trying to come get you. Therefor, it's a cheap "tactic". ( yes, there are partial exceptions to my rules of cheapness, so let's not get into "Typhy, going by that, the game wouldn't work if both peopel walked back in a dance" )

I ( yes, this is true ) haven't carried C4 as a camping weapon since AK vs *NADS, when I TKed Cow twice in a row - April, 2002, yes, C4 has uses that don't involve camping. A very effective tactic to deal with campers at Storage Depot: Set C4 at the door of the gold base, run around to the garage door, stand clear of the garage ( out of sight ), detonate the C4, while the camper(s) inside the gold base react to the explosion at the door, you rush in through the garage door and catch them off guard. That is one of the only uses that C4 has that's not camping related. I've seen this tactic, or one similar to it, used only once, by a person aside from myself. In all other instances, C4 is used as a camping weapon.

( Just my thoughts about C4, and hosts who don't restrict it ).

There has never been a great player who camps. I can take out any camper, no matter how good they might be. You just have to extra careful as you go room to room. I simply don't find such room to room tactics nearly as fun.

I honestly wouldn't know wether or not I'm a good camper. I haven't camped in over a year.

I've seen this tactic, or one similar to it, used only once, by a person aside from myself. In all other instances, C4 is used as a camping weapon.

Tyhpy, I'll add one other to your list.  Leaving C4 and a sensor behind in your base (or other likely spot), and blowing it when you see someone on the map go in there.  Wonderful how you can trigger it from anywhere, even while attacking someone on the other side of the map.  Works with claymores in GhR even better, because if place right, you don't lose the sensor.

i think a great player simply knows how to work a spot and move on. when to camp and wen to rush. if a stream of guys are comming though a door, i say camp the hell out of them. when the wise up. move out and assault them

Brain, anyone who camps on the inside of the door, in such a situation, is going to get their sorry little ass prefired to hell. You sidestep, take out one. Move out the door prefiring, possibly get another, pull out your pistol, and start dancing. Try and catch the remaining ones in crossfire.

You can use c4 100 ways..heres a good one i always use..kill someone..then place the c4 under his body.  Team member runs in looking for the bastard that killed his friend and BOOOOOOOM!!!..thats 2 kills for me

My point is, and has always been, that campers detract from the overall gameplay of Rogue Spear. Also, that there is yet to be a great player who's a camper.
