Is it possible to get .mpeg files onto a cd and play them in a dvd player? If so, how would I do this?

Well....that depends what your dvd player supports.

Mpeg1 = VCD
Mpeg2 = SVCD

I burned some VCD's for my DVD player, works fine. Even have a nice app that you can make chapters and stuff with, even a start up screen  Smiley

heeeey....wait a minute....isnt this called entrapment, shit theres the admins RUUUN

 Grin Grin Grin Grin

Of course all my VCD's were made up by home footage mpg's

I make VCDs alot, so i know alot about it. But you're on mac, so i can't suggest any apps  Sad. But i can tell you that VCDs are 29.97 FPS MPEG1 352x240 videos, which are about VHS quality and a 650mb disk can hold about 70 minutes of film. VCDs are supported by most DVD players. You basically need two apps; one to encode the MPEG file (easy find) and one to make it into a VCD.

Good site: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/    i linked you to the forum because i dont think they have any mac apps, so maybe you can find something in there; i might be wrong though, so look around.
