Did all of you hear?  XBox has announced that they dropped the project of making the game Battlefield 1942!!  This really suck  Angry  well at least they should be porting it to mac, I think  Huh

Ok even though Snipey is a complete retard i will answer his question:
BattleField 1942 is one of the sweetest games avalible for PC made by EA Games and DICE.
In this game you can drive tanks ( they are everywhere) lots of fun shoot people Cheesy
You can also do things like Fly planes which is not in many games at all and the only ones that it where u can get in other things and be just a person (as i know of) are Operation Flashpoint and Battle Field 1942. If you have any intellagence at all you could tell that this game is based around ww2 in the year 1942. Thought there are many mods such as Desert Combat which is a current warfare, there are others such as GI Joe and I think some anime games but there are mods of all types out there lots of fun probably one of my favorite games.

Snipey, Typhy is right why was your post need here?

To Nomad: That sucks, even though I do not have and am not fond of Xboxes because my love for Battle Field 1942 is so much it sucks.... But about portting I'm not sure, But it is a very demanding game and I had a 64 mb card and had trouble with the game but i got a new one and it all worked out Cheesy Im kinda hoping for new 128 video cards that are not that much money. Kinda depressing that Macs have one or two 128 mb's and yet PCs just broke 256.

Then the same people take in a army jeep and try not to get ambushed and they do. but the marines kill them all and go home.

I hear there is a Star Wars Hoth battle mod coming.

Isn't WWII Online something like this game?  I remember playing that demo and the controls were designed by a dislexic, nothing made sense.

Battlefield unfortunaly won't make it to Mac as the head of Aspyr said in a recent interview. - The reason why it won't be ported is that the Battlefield dev team doesn't want to give away their engine code...

So the only chance to get a port would be if the dev team decides to create a Mac version which will never happen...

BF1942 became a sweet game when those tards at EA finally decided to give it tech support...

Looks like the only way most of you can enjoy it is if you load up VPC and hope it doesn't crash on you.  Wink
