you should see what a parrot can do if they dont like you
ever see a 150 lb black belt get chased around by a 1 lb bird. yea, now that's comedy
and once you see what those can openers called beaks can to nuts(macaws can easily crush walnuts, my eclectus can only really crush peanuts, but can still draw blood) it makes you wonder what that beak can do when applied to your toes, or fingers.
and parrots still own all animals in the intelligence department

Dunno about that one Brain.... I've never seen a dog fly into a window and break it's own neck....
But I have seen a dog figure out how to turn a doorknob to open a door on it's own (now if only she'd figure out to close it...)
I have two things against birds as pets... One, a bird can't really sense your emotions and react accordingly like a dog can. Two, a bird in a cage is a sad sight to me.... A bird should be flying, not trapped. Dog's chose people as much as people chose dogs (cat's tend to tolerate people... which fits, because most guys I know just tolerate cats.. heh)

She is fast, agile, and nasty. ?It's why I love her so (no Ace, not because she looks like a sheep, you perv).
So are you admitting she looks like a sheep? If so, it's good that she is fast, agile, and nasty. Well, fast and agile. Nasty never seemed to turn GRIFT off from animals before.

any parrot you see in america is a very lucky one. they pack them into crates by the 100s, and only a couple survive the journey to our pet stores. people think its all funny that they talk to you, but really they are just trying to blend in... maybe not get stuffed into another crate..

some birds are that stupid, but my parrot likes looking in the mirror. it looks like she knows it is her reflection in the mirror. parrots are smart birds, smarter than most ppl think.
oh and by the way geek, my parrot was hand raised in the us, not shipped over(she is 3, and we have had all but a few months of that)
i know they do that, and i dont like it one bit
never would have got her if she was shipped

Now, I know that my posts are far from gramatically correct, but I wish to point out the grammatical error in Bondo's...lol
Quote
Quite fun watching him chase the mouse around the room (where I thankfully was able to contain the mouse not that my cat needed any assistance in the matter. ?After a short spell when the mouse somehow slipped through the crack where the carpet meets the wall and crawled under the floorboards my cat got the mouse back out for the final flurry.
As we see, there is a beginning "(" bracket, but yet, I do not see a closeing thought bracket ")".
If you were in Prof. Destructo's 4th year English major, you would be given a "0" for any grammatical errors!!
They say, that animals, especially cats, who bring home dead animals means that they love you. A sign of affection to their owner. They bring home the prey to give to the owner as a gift kind of thing.
I shit you not.
My cat used to bring me big fuckin Crows. Ahhh, my cat, he ruled my street. Fuck with him and you were asking for a beating...

Dest: It isn't nessassary for you to respond for every topic. But, I guess thats your choice.
As for Parrots, They just have no care what happens to their owners. Their owner dies? So what they think. All that has to happen for them to be happy is for them to be fed.
However I do like parrots for I have one.

Ssheesh Dest, you're starting to sound like Yoda with that "I shit you not" thing. To see how Darth Vader slices Yoda's hairy face in two would be a great show. Unfortunately, that will never happen. Darth Vader is dead, and Yoda is too... damn you, Lucas!

i think birds must be the coolest pets ever. I had a parrot named Master P. I had found him in my backyard near death, and took him in. He used to talk to me, and even give parrot hugs. He was not confined to a cage. He was also quite capable of playing tricks on people, even cats. The bird would call out to the cat, mimicking my "here kitty kitty kitty". The cat, thinking it was time to be fed, would run in through the kitchen door only to be bombarded and assaulted by my devious pet. Eventually, the cat learned her lesson and exercised more caution in such matters, proving cats are not completely stupid. Nonetheless, the parrot still proved to be the smarter of the two. Alas, Master P is no longer with us. His owner came and reclaimed him, much to my dismay ?but hey, i've still got 3 dogs, a lizard, turtle, fish, and a cat to keep me entertained.
