Cat and Mouse

Well, around midnight I decided to let my cat in from outside and much to my surprise he chased a mouse (the thing was tiny maybe two inches by and inch and about one ounce) into the house. Well, never have I had a better lesson in the cat's predatorial instincts. Quite fun watching him chase the mouse around the room (where I thankfully was able to contain the mouse not that my cat needed any assistance in the matter. After a short spell when the mouse somehow slipped through the crack where the carpet meets the wall and crawled under the floorboards my cat got the mouse back out for the final flurry. With the mouse dazed (or playing dead) my cat just sat guard looking pleased as I got the mouse into a plastic bag (didn't seal it) and got him outside again looking not any worse for wear, just a little stuptifyed. My cat still has his claws and is fully capable of killing prey (he's notched a squirrel, a few birds and a bat already) but I guess he just wanted to play around with the mouse. Just for the extra info, my cat has also been an attempted prey of a fox (got a bite in the head from him) and a bird (a peck on the head). All that for an eleven year old "senior" cat. Guess that goes to show you why cats are better than dogs, much better pest control.

I have a dream: when cats get even with dog to get a job by the police as a police cat.
I have a dream when CATs CATch bank robbers or other criminals and get the same honor as dogs.
I have a dream of CATs keeping order in Town, by being good house cats and security animals in big areals.
I have a dream when hunters take their CATs inspite of their dogs b/c CATs are smaller , and they cat get better in smaller places then dogs, even old senior cats. And they can catch much of Mice, but only female CATs. Male CATs are not even b/c they are not able to hunt that good as female CATs. So a hunter can be proud of his CAT after the long hunting day when he comes home with a ton of dead animals: MICE .

Leave it to someone that thinks that R6 is much superior to RS to believe that cats are better then dogs...
Besides taking out a few squarrels and mice (the dogs never let them live long enough to make it to the back door) I've even had the duty to return my old neighbors pain in the ass cat back to them in a shoebox (well... all the pieces I could find after the three poodles played tug toy with it). It was over in the blink of an eye before I could even make it out the back door, and yes, I even felt a bit bad (even if the little pussy had it coming, which it did.... it used to pace the fense back and forth teasing the dogs, then when the dogs were put inside, it would jump the fence and pace in front of the window for them to see). Well... all that taunting came back in a red and gray blurr... (oh, and this cat had all it's claws too, but that was a poor excuse for a defense when it was in the middle of the yard and Bog followed it up the tree, bringing it back down with him.... did I mention that poodles are bird dogs and can climb some trees?)
One thing is for sure.... you'll never see a cat owner bringing back a dog that their cat killed.

Neither Mysterio, the dog isn't going to catch the cat so the cat is safe, the dog may get its head torn off trying to do something stupid in the process though because dogs aren't as smart or capable predators.

See, this is what I'm talking about, no mention of AK and then suddenly you make fun of Typhy. Although if he is a humper in the games it makes sense but honestly.

Cat's own nothing in my neighborhood.... hehe
Bondo... you mentioned that the dogs aren't fast enough to catch the cat?? What kind of slow ass dogs have you been around? Now, my wife's German Sheppard is too clumsy to catch a cat, I'll give you that... But I'll lay 100:1 on Josie besting the pussy cat (Josie is my standard poodle).
BTW, for those who scoff here.... the Sheppard is terrified of the Poodle.... and for good reason. She is fast, agile, and nasty. It's why I love her so (no Ace, not because she looks like a sheep, you perv). She's a bit underweight at only 60lbs, but Guiness (the sheppard) weighs over twice that and runs for his life (not that she doesn't catch him in faster then a newbie screams "cheat!".

Lol, Good point Grifter, Bondo: Speaking on the subject of cats & dogs, ( Which is better =) ). Have you ever seen law inforcement using cats for help? no, thats because dogs are so much smarter =) Besides: Obviously dogs offer better companionship, Ever heard the saying "Dogs have masters while cats have Staff? Cats - Stuck up little furballs =) Dogs - Loyal and friendly little ( And big ) Furballs =)
Please take no offence in this post.

BTW, if anyone wants to see a truley impressive dog, I'll snap a pic of my next door neighbor's pooch Winston. He's a full grown English Mastiff. Let's just say that I'm a big boy, and I've not met many dogs that are bigger then me.... especially that much BIGGER then me. Winston weighs in at 264 lbs. And he's not fat at all... just one huge animal. The other two Mastiff's are a bit smaller, at 215 lbs and 190 lbs for the female. He's a big babby, and wouldn't hurt a fly, but you should see those guys that hang thost stupid flyers on your door run when they see him coming up to the gate... hehe. Now that is a great reason that dogs are better then cats... bigger pest control.
