That's a good theory.
Since it's been 11 months since the press release about GameRanger X.  

And yes, the connection wasn't timing out... it was refused.  And I wouldn't put it past Evill to not tell anyone or post an announcement that he was taking it down, because I've never seen him do it so far.

On the other hand... being in the profession, we do other things to test... like have a duplicate server set up on a different IP... or a different domain on the same IP (but using a different port)... doubt he could do it with just different managed servers... but I babble.  

The world may never know.

Wait, no, so now your saying that Gr is up, and mag is down? correction Mag is up and Gr is back down? or maybe you were just hosting a KDX game labbeled GR, but you locked the ip? wait no, phew, Gr is back up, nope it's MaG we want, wait no mag is down, nope it's the ip change so it's up again, or maybe that's GR?!.waint no Gr is back up.

The marines are so good they took a jeep into some Iraq village trying to get ambushed, they refueled 6 times and did everything they could to get ambushed. and didn't!
Then the same people take in a army jeep and try not to get ambushed and they do. but the marines kill them all and go home.

alright, i don't wanna bitch about something that's a a free service, but GR has been really fuckin' flaky recently. i really hope this is just beta-testing shit for GRx or sumthin, cuz if it ain't then that means someone's servers are FUCKED UP right now.

Ok, first I fixed the link in the first post here...  the old link was pointing to a specific file, not a directory, so when they changed versions it was broken (the link).  Just remember to pull down the mac client.

Second, GR is back up, so this thread will be seeing you again in a few weeks when it's down again Wink
