I've been to the War memorials in Hiroshima, and that was enough.  Last thing I want to see is more of what war looks like.

Elandrion, that really wasn't necessary, most people already know the cruelty of war... Though it's amazing how those first three pictures looked unreal compared to what Hollywood productions show...

I do not recommend for anyone to see those pictures unless you want to feel sick.

yeah i know. I thought i'd share this link with you, so everyone sees what really is behind the clips you see in the mass media. in the first days of the iraq war, i too felt like watching a giant video game... but seeing this, only hardened my opinion that you can't show war like that. it was not my intention to sicken any of you.

Damn it, Kami, I should've looked at your post before clicking on the link. . . I think that first one's going to give me nightmares as I try to go to sleep tonight.

These pictures look like they came from rotten.com. The WWI one with 2/3 of the guy's face completely missing (the side view one) looks fake to me.

Yeah, the WW1 one does look a bit off.

I personaly find it good to look at these things kinds of things from time to time. Not everything is pleasent, and I sometimes you need a reminder of that.

Us civilians have the options to just avoid things like that, the least we can do is try and understand the best we can what it's like up there.
