S.A.S Northern Island UO Mod:

Units:
22nd Special Air Service Regiment
2nd Regiment Royal Green Jackets
14th Intelligence Group "DET"
Irish Paramilitaries

Weapons:

BRITISH - Enfield SA80A2 (plus also assorted light support weapon variants?)
   - H&K G3 (SAS standard weapon in Ireland)
   - M16's & M4's

IRISH   - AK' mainly, also Uzi's and other assorted small arms.


Map:

Terraced houses, the best map would probably be in the shape of a T with some houses enterable not all as i should imagine this would be an imense strain on frame rate etc. Parked vehicles and if poss moving ones?

Mission:

Interception of a group known to be gathering for an attack on local RUC station. Paramilitaries must not be allowed to escape and continue with they're mission.

The mod would allow a number of different elements. The 2nd Regt and 22nd are both uniformed, the DET who may also carry out similar missions, even tho primarily intel group, are plain clothes. Let me know what yu think and i can make a more detailed plan?

I believe the SAS theme has already been taken, and if I remember their policy right, they won't re-do a mod that has already been done...keep on trying stripes  Cool

LOL, your right, not even our own stuff. Cobra and I actually started a SAS mod for SOAF, never got off the ground, I did a few weps for it then IDF got us offtrack and we really shelved it ourselves. IDF was much more interesting  Grin

I dont think we ever presented it to Coco, cant remember now. It was a while back.

Could try a more futureistic version, using some stuff from Appleseed & Ghost in the shell, got some weapon models for it which I could no improve on (got better textures). Would involve some enhanced operatives, cybernetic terrorists?

Unfortuantley I could never do the character models (OK never bother to try Smiley

Did you have your heart set on a futuristic mod? One area that i dont think any mod has gone for yet is cyber terrorism. Potentially lethal there could so easily be made a story line for some missions to follow?

Dang, haven't been here in a LONG TIME! (I was suppose to release mod at CHRISTMAS!!!! Shocked) Je suis occup?...

I've been consumed with Warhammer 40K, but I would be happy to help make a UO mod- I've mostly made some really nice camo uniforms- some people have seen them already- my skills might be a bit rusty, since I haven't been modding in 3 months, lol.

I could always post some screenshots...

speaking of a futuristic mod, back in the day, i made an "Ultimate Soldier"- looked like a robot, red glowing eyes- just tryin to bounce some ideas.

OK the looks like we got ourselves a team so. Dave, i jus downloaded yur mod so ill get back to yu on it, but looks like yu'll be doin weps. Ice, me and yu can concentrate on gettin some skins done. If yu could send us some examples thru to my email then i wud be greatful. Ta ill get back to the two of yu with some ideas.

Well, I was gonna try to post some screenshots, but all the images looked like crap when uploaded, so I'll give a quick rundown of all the uniforms I have finished:

-Note the names aren't official, and aren't the actual ones used- not all the medium and heavy textures have been completed

Bio Hazard
Desert
Wood2
Brown
Arctic
Euro2
Grassland
Green
Jungle
Street
Tropical
Urban

Also, if I would make a bunch of skins or use the ones I already have, would I still be able to release my own mod, with my own skins, that can (and would) be made by me?

Ok well if yu could send us some screenshots to my email then we'll sort out which ones we could use in the mod. Yes by all means if yu make a separate uniform mod then you can release it under your own name.... although preferably if we do some skins exclusively for the mod i'd like the mod to be released first.
