Which is Better MAC or PC?

aight let's all just face the facts that some operating systems are better than others for certain tasks. e.g., the SG systems are used for high-end graphics, macs are used for middle of the road shtick, PC's are used for buisness stuff, and fatty UNIX mainframes are used to warehouse data.

PC's have a much larger game selection, as well as choices of buisness software, and macs are officially the minority.

blah blah, user interface is better on mac, pc's look like my ass, blah blah, but no. personally untill the new G4's came out i thought macs were starting to look.. well.. fruity. But thank god they got away from that "bondi" blue and started back into the gray scheme. i almost bought spray paint to re-color my iMac.

well, this is a rather heated topic, which people feel VERY passionate about sometimes. And sometime they scare me with just how much they care about what kind of computer they're using. for Christs sake, does it matter all that much? it's just a fuckin' computer!

I think it is best to own 2 computers ( 1 mac, 1 pc). I'm buying a PC for gaming uses, and my mac will do basically everythign else. I'll just custom build a PC that will do nothing but gaming.

I dont hold a grudge against pc users because they like pcs. Thats almost like being racist. (who knows what remarks that comment will gain me)

I gota say, and I mean this literaly.  This thread is humerous to me.  I own a Mac and a PC, and there both tight to me.  Read that your trying to get a new comp Capser.  You should check out the HP line.  There hella cheap right now and really nice.  Im starting to get back into the PC bizz again cause of all the new games.  Its just this Windows XP BS thats pissing me off.  Keeps giving some error bs on how the program quit.  But I still prefer Macs.  I also notice a huge ass thing about a PC and a difference of a Mac.  PC's usualy hang more easly thatn Macs, yet Macs crash more than PC's lol.  Oh well, enough of my two cents.  I just hope GR opens up soon man.  I wanna play RS?

Hmmz, how do you reason in saying that PCs are better than macs? A good mac can run Windows faster than most PCs, Is there a think that makes PCs run MAC OS faster than macs? I don't think so.

i will put in my imput of I think it is Best To have 2 or even 3 comps (if u travel a lot) a Pc Desktop for all those games that are not on mac then the mac for everything else. The 3rd comp for Traveling such as a laptop for this i would choose mac because i think desktop macs run smoother then Desktop Pcs.(i have never realy used a mac laptop) I think Pc Laptops Are Horrable cause they are so jumpy that its not funny and Macs may cost more but they are Way Smoother and faster and so on....

i have crashed my computer thousands of times and have yet to corrupt a file
i know windoze users who have to deal with corrupt files after almost every crash

i like my mac...
can we say bulletproof?

Dude, I remember when we first got this G3, my bro overheard that this comp was literaly bullet proof by being made out of bullet proof plastic.  He was literaly going to take it out one day to shoot it to see if it was true.  So was I lol

Since no one would listen to me in the first place, here's a bit of my spices added to it: (answering to Ace's and wrath's posts) No Ace, they're not lies. In fact, I agree with wrath on one thing. Macs are made for graphics, but are faster than any other (newer) PC models on the market.

Even with games, Macs outrank PC's. Funny, isn't it? If you say PC's suck - which in general terms means you don't like the way they are built or the way they perform - bear in mind that it is the operating system (OS) which does not draw to YOUR standards. I personnally think the OS on PC's (Windows?) are grotesque and unbearable (ugly). It is slower than any other MacOS, ugly... I can make a whole list... Take, for instance, the "new" Windows? XP. For me, XP (xperience... go figure...!) is nothing but a simple, but draft copy of MacOS X.

Anyhow, Macs are not better, but are not worse either.
Like myself, I own both a PC (1 Ghz) and an 400Mhz iMac. You should learn how to use both. I agree I play more games on my PC than I do on my Mac, but when it comes to artwork, designs of any kind, schoolwork, I turn the power switch of my Mac on.

Coming on to my final statement, Macs are stuck with this problem, since the first "real" models came out, with "incompatibility". This is a problem, a real problem I mean, which isn't solved yet. I dearly hope it will.
Another issue here are the prices of them. The day the G4 Quicksilver 867, 22" flat screen came out for sale as an example, it was worth about 2 to 3 standard issue PC's. Heck, the 22" flat panel was worth a PC already! Now, of course, you can get this model for a cheaper price, which is good.

Last remark to this - design. As you may already know (if you own a Mac, who doesn't?), Macs don't keep their standard CPU and monitor models to where PC's do. After a few years, people wondered what the computer of the near future would look like. Macintosh? in a way was inspired by the idea. Remember the G4 Cube? So the CPU itself looked like a toaster, and the price rate was elevated, it was a renewed model. I must confess at first I was overwhelmed by the look of it, but only in a good way. You could say I was fascinated by it, in some sort.

I wonder what happens if I put bread between the Cube's spaces?
