SK at the Spelling Bee
(This story is meant lightly so don't be offended)

Referee dude: Your word is "the"

SK: Uhh...Uhh...Can I have the definition

Referee dude:  Your word is fucking the, it is a fucking article meaning the.  It is three letters and starts with t h

SK:  Oh Well, here goes nothing...t-h-a, the.

Referee dude: Oh for christ's sake, get this waste of a brain of the stage and pummel him a little.

Yeah, but a pack of cigarettes isn't worth shit next to a joint in how good it is in enjoyment so health be dammened, the reason I don't go full into smoking it (by smoking for a second time) is not lung problems, it is the risk of memory loss, I'll wait till I start losing it naturally before I help it along.  BTW, we did have a few things about hard lemonade in some post (was it this one) it is good stuff, so when I'm 21 (oh i'm such a goody goody) I'll start drinking some.

In all honestly, I'd rather have weed legalized and ciggarettes banned. Anyone with me on that?

Well, I'd rather smoke pot than tabbaco, but I've got to stick to some general values so I say both should be legal.

I think weed is probably better to be legalized if we could only have one, but I would rather see both be illegal. With weed I don't have to catch second hand smoke except for the occasional party when it's unavoidable. Most times you can stay away from it. Cigarettes are too damn pervasive. That said, neither are good and shouldn't be allowed.

Myself, I think second hand smoke sucks (doesn't matter what from).  I don't like smoking (again, cig's or pot)...  I don't think people should smoke either..... but that said...

I'm a Darwinist.  I think alcohol, pot, cigs and prostitution should all be legal and controlled.  I also don't believe in seatbelt or helmet laws (I always wear them... I just don't think government should force people to act in their own best interest).  Part of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is being a dumbass and doing things that are not the best for you....

I'm just one of those guys that believes the Government isn't supposed to protect me from myself... that's my job.

Well said Grift, just because someone thinks something should be legalized doesn't mean they would go out and do that thing all of a sudden.  It's all about the theory behind it.

Grifter

Ooooops, well i suppose ur walking a thin line here grifter when were talking about drugs and selfassessment!

Heres an extract from my memoires.
I went to a friends home on a weekend to have a party there. We started with alcohol, just a few drinks. Then we smoked some cause it was soooooo funny (no cynism here, it was :-)). Bad thing young Kick thought he still would be able to drive a car. I tried to drive back, have u ever experienced the lag hehehehe when u start breaking 100 mtrs in front of a traffic light that turned red? I was so stoned I was fancied by the headlights of an upcoming car. I was so in love with the light I changed the lane and drove straight into the lights direction.
That guy at least started flashing his main lights; I love him 4 doing so! I was lucky when I suddenly realised the deep shit I was in and braked n skid into a small entry. Teh other car just went. Man from that moment on I knew the meaning of the term "cold sweat". From that night on I lost the naivety to enjoy drugs for a couple of years, nearly a decade.
Conclusion
Dont get across that line where u cant selfassass any more especially in public. It might hurt/kill u and other ppl.
Ur freedom is the freedom of the guy next to u, remember that.
I still think pot is okay and I still smoke some but it takes skills. Just dont abuse it.
End of story

See u on GR

See that's the thing, I believe in extremely strong punishments for public use of drugs or public endangerment due to being on drugs, but they should still let drugs be legal for use withing your home.  As long as an act isn't harmful to another it should be legal, but when the act does become harmful, it should be punished with extreme prejudice (well, not really but that phrase is cool, anyway it should be punished heavily).

alchohol is not illegeal to drink, provided you are of age. it is illegal to be drunk while driving, or to have an open container in your car
why can we not have the restrictions on pot like that. you can have it, you can smoke it, but ?you can't endanger someone else with it.
also, i think the only reason that pot is banned, is that congress thinks that pot heads make a beeline for harder drugs, you know, the stuff that can actually kill you.

Kick...

I think you misunderstood my meaning.  I'm actually not for drug use.  I've never taken recreational drugs... and hardley ever even perscription pain killers... it's not my scene.

I think their use should be legal... yes.  As with alochol, it's much easier to control when it's legal.  Also, may as well earn some tax money from it.

I'll give you an analogy... I'm very much against the seatbelt and helmet laws we have here (for adults.. kids are different)... but I'd still wear my helmet every single time I ride.  Giving me the right to be stupid, doesn't mean I have to be stupid... get my drift?
