Thread about Rapid and what happened on 11/2

Ah, bringing yourself down to insults and age comments eh Sin? I'm a far better moderator than you are, and than you ever will be. Rather funny how you try and play these power games, then eventually, you realize that no one gives a shit that you're a moderator, and very few people give a shit about you at all. I can take you at RS anyday. And when I recive my copy of Ghost Recon, give me a month or so, and I will be able to take you there as well. I've achieved much more in the RS world than you have.

You really want to know what you did wrong? Here is a brief list of what you did vs what you should've done:

? Continuously deleted a non spam post.

? Locked threads accusing you of doing a bad job of being a moderator.

? Added an editorial comment in the "Ban list".

? Didn't have the brains to let your fellow moderator handle matters, you felt a need to jump into them and complicate things.

As I said, brielf list. I can list off many more. Here is for each one of those, what should've been done.

1.) A post is spam when:

? Just an opinion is givven, with no facts to support it.

? Its obviously not an area that the poster has knowledge, or intrest in.

? A post is one non stop insult.

? The poster has not taken the time to put any effort into his thread through research, spelling/grammar, or length ( post is incomplete ).

? The post is made by *DAMN SilentKiller.

If you want perfect examples of spam, you can look at SK's posts. Also, at times Jeb's posts make perfect examples of posting on things that you don't care about.

Rapid's post fell under none of these, it was in a way, a non stop insult, and perhaps a little bit to far in that way, the type of thing that should have a note on the end of it written in black, "Watch the insults". Here are some examples of posts that were far worse in every way than Rapid's, but wern't deleted:

The reason that these wern't deleted is because of who posted them. Rapid is held at a different standard than anyone else, a moderator deleting his posts because of this is totally unaceptable.

2.) I'm pretty sure that even you can figure out that locking threads accusing you of things is an abuse of your moderator privlages. I've seen so many moderators get removed for this throughout the days... This is the most commen thing that moderators go "Bye bye" for.

3.) The "Ban list" is an official thread, most forums have them, although normaly they are located in a moderators only section. In a thread like that, its your job to come on, say that the person has a warning and get out. If the admin wants help in deciding how long to ban the person for, they can come to you, they don't need your advice right away though. Its their choice, and while this is very minor, the fact that you don't understand that its wrong, is major.

4.) Ace already had matters under controle with deleting a post. When 2 moderators get into somthing like this, it gets complicated. Its your job to see that the other(s) have it under conrole, and to stay out. As with #3, a fairly minor thing, but the fact that you can't see it on your own is major.
