Bucc, the reason I don't like you is because you treat others poorly on the fourms.  I just ask for a little civility.  The only people I dislike on the forums are the handful like you who feel it is ok to be assholes.  And we have 500 members...to think it is only 1% that I don't like.  From the way you and the others act, your % is much much higher.  Maybe you should take something from that.

Oh, and as for my polluting the other threads, the Desert Storm thread was about a video game, not current events/politics, so your posts are just as off topic.

i thought he was more then civil to rapid over the not hosting thing.  i think if you look back he tried to be civil with zait, until he noticed that zait just never really reads or consideres his posts.

you see, making shit up like that to try and support a weak position is the same sort of thing that rapid does.  yes, you do it better and are more believeable.  but you were called on it bondo.  and instead of just admitting that you are wrong, you shift it to an emotional argument about him, so people forget about you and your make believe school of logic.  it's an old trick, you do it well, but it's also transparent to some of us.

as for him changing the subject in the desert storm game thread, guess again bondo.  zaitsev started the rant.  bucc answsered it.  realized how far off topic it was going.  admitted his error (crediting somone with pointing it out) and then you came in, making it about bucc.

the posts are there for you to go back in read.  why don't you try it.  don't skim them, read them.  consider them.  show some respect of your own.

Whoa. . .I'm as competitive as the rest of you, and I've been annoyed equally by all parties here, so I hesitate to defend anyone.  But this is ridiculous:

Basic respect of admitting you're wrong??!  Who do you think you are?  When we're debating matters of opinion, or fact even, since when do we have to admit defeat?!  Sure, it might be more gracious, but who are you to demand that Bondo or anyone else grovel everytime you prove a point?  It's only insulting to be countered if you believe yourself above your opponent.  And frankly, if you have any such high-minded bullshit, get off the forums.

The reason this upsets me is that this forum is and should be about debate.  I'll use an example of proper debate with myself and Ace.  We disagree frequently, but never once have I been upset by Ace's failing to concede me a point.  And, as far as I know, he feels likewise.  What fun is arguing if you have to abase yourself every time you're wrong?

Now, Ace I believe has a good deal of animosity towards Bondo as well, but I don't think he's resorted to unbased personal assaults and mockery.  If so, it's been in jest.  But I fail to understand how any of you can be so full of yourselves as to take offense at what amounts to very minor differences of opinion.

Let me explain it in terms closer to you.  You know music, right?  Horn player, right?  So, if I were to start telling you, in this forum, that there was this new way to play your horn, that it was as good or better and that you didn't know what you were talking about, that wouldn't insult you?  Now, imagine that you not only have been playing that horn for years, but you've studied it, it's history, everything about it, and have a college degree in music.  When you ask the idiot where his knowledge of this new way of playing comes from, he ignores you.  When you ask where he learned it, he ignores you.  But he continues to post about why he's right about it.  You don't find that insulting either?

Deadeye may have overstated the admission of defeat, or you may have just taken it to mean more then it was (think about that too Loudnotes).  But conceding a point is a sign of intelligence.  I do it all the time.  I read something new, learn something new, and just flat out say it.  

But, even if that isn't your style, do you continue to defend a point that you know isn't true Loudnotes?  In all your disagreements with Ace, does Ace stay on that soapbox after you have proven the point, or does he move on?  I'll bet he moves on.  Ace doesn't strike me as someone stupid enough to back a point that he knows is false, just because he's stubborn.

Bondo, dislike me all you want.  Doesn't bother me a bit.  I just tell it like it is.  I'm not a caring parent, or a teacher.  I'm not your friend.  I'll help people out that ask questions that I can answer (like VooDoo and others).  But what I see you not liking is that I don't let you save face.  You were wrong, I called you on it.  I asked often for where this school of logic is, so I can study it.  You ignored it.  You ignore half the shit I write, which, when in a debate, brings a whole new meaning to asshole.

One last thing Bondo.  I want you to find all these people that I treat poorly.  Who are they?  Name them for me?  Because, other then you, I'd argue that.  I treat Zaitsev about the same as he treats me.  I treated Rapid better.  I look back and don't see any problem with the way I treated Tasty, Cookie, Jeb or anyone else the disagreed with me.  I read all their posts, and answered their points with points of my own.  I don't have to agree with them, they don't have to agree with me.  But they showed the respect to read and discuss.  They gave and took points, along with me.  With you, it seems like it's a contest.  You want to be the big mac daddy of the forums.  

One last note for Loudnotes.  Loudnotes, I think one of the reasons that you don't have this problem is because you chose to debate with more intelligent people then Bondo.  I should learn from that.  Since Bondo is the only person that I've ever had this problem with.

              He treats me very poorly thank you. Now I am liberal or, rather a radical liberal and he doesnt see the world in that way and I am 100% fine with that. He can have the views he wants but it gets to me when he insults my grammer, and the way I am typing my thoughts. I am 14 years old and I doubt that many of you at the age of 14 could sit here and type out the politcal insight that I am. For him to attack my views is bad enough as it is, he can rebuttle no doubt but when he crosses that line of personnally attacking ME as a person thats down right mean and to a kid, he deserves ban.
